Hi all,

I've had a fantastic time here at at A-U.
I have spoken to lots of interesting, intelligent and friendly people. I also feel that I have learnt a lot as a result of being here, that's probably down to some of you.

So, I am sad about leaving. I am not leaving because of any changes at A-U - It's as good as ever...yes, most of the members who were here when I first registered have moved on, but we've got lots of new interesting people!

I wish Ron the best of luck with this website. It's already got the best UFO/paranormal forum on the internet, it's got a lot of potential. smile.gif

I don't know if I'll be gone for good. I doubt that I will be able to return as the member I used to be, I might be able to get online every few weeks, but I am not sure. Therefore, I would like to be bumped down to a registered user again, or a Forum elder...what ever Ron/Xander decides.

Maybe I'll see you again sometime.

On a walk on May 21, 2006, Heather Woodards discovered a small formation in a field of oilseed rape (canola) near Alfriston in East Sussex. The pictures she took show a small ring with a straight path coming out of it.

The British Ministry of Defense confirmed that a secret study completed in December 2000 had found no evidence that "flying saucers" or unidentified flying objects were anything other than natural phenomena. What do you think?

11449 people have already voted.

UFOs certainly exist. There's no way we're alone in the universe.

UFOs might exist. Absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence.
32%

UFOs are pure science fiction.

I'm not sure.

WHERE (ON EARTH) have all the unidentified flying objects gone? Just a few years ago, the sky seemed to be littered with flying saucers and every other sort of astral crockery: strange lights, cigar-shaped spaceships, paranormal things that went bump in the night. Scully and Mulder were rushed off their feet.
Now the UFOs have almost vanished. Sure, you still get a few alien abductions, especially on New Year’s Eve, and diehard ufologists are still recording close encounters of the umpteenth kind. Since 1955 the National UFO Reporting Centre in Seattle has clocked 125,000 reports of sightings. But in recent years the numbers have dropped dramatically. The British Flying Saucer Bureau closed down three years ago after half a century of saucer-spotting. The simple truth is that the little green men don’t come calling like they used to, and they have stopped leaving circles in our crops.

I say :bs:. I have not noticed a decline in UFO sightings, or crop circles. I wonder where The Times got its information from!?
I always notice that no British newspaper can publish a serious article about UFOs, there always has to be a picture of ET (The Extra Terrestrial) with a sarcastic comment written underneath it.

I had just made my post in the UFO & Alien TV shows thread (here)
I was just going to watch the second TV programme , but I got distracted on the way...

I quickly gazed out of the window and noticed a group of lights moving slowly across the sky. They were sparkling at a very fast rate, I could say that they were flashing madly.
Realising that normal aircraft don't have lights like this, I went to get my camera (It's got a high quality movie mode and a large zoom lens).
On arriving back at the window I checked to see if the lights were still there. They were, but were moving slowly behind a tree. In about 5 seconds they were gone.
I wasn't really bothered about this sighting, who would be? It could have been just about anything other than a UFO.

I continued scanning the sky, seeing if I could see anything else of interest.
A little white light caught my attention, it was moving slowly and was near to the moon. It just white, there were no other lights. It was not being distorted by the gases in the atmosphere like most of the other stars were, so I'm guessing that it was relatively close.
It was still moving slowly, then for no obvious reason it started accelerating. It travelled across my field of vision in a matter of seconds, I was amazed at it's speed! It stopped abruptly, hovered and seemed to fade away.

I can tell you now that I wasn't watching a shooting star or comet, this thing didn't have a tail, was able to hover and accelerate.

I have never seen anything move so quickly in my life...It was very strange. I don't know what's happening up there, so I'm going back to see what I can see.
