Last night after finishing work i scanned the tv wondering what to watch, yet again another of the 50 greatest programmes to be made HOW BORERING,but i had just happened to see a titbit of the above title this was to be repeated later on.
The programme began with the voice of a now deceased person coming back to recount the memories of his former life and charted this through a period of 4\5 months culminating in the death of this individual seen through, also commented on by himself.
Dystophic Epidemlysis Bullosa is something that i had never heard of before, but is something that i'm not likely to forget in a hurry. It is a condition whereby the skin does not adhere to the flesh therefore any little knock or bump causes the skin to fall off and die leaving what resembled something you'd find on a butchers table, but alive.

Johnny Kennedy,Born 1966 Died 2003, a 36 year old man trapped inside a non pubescent body gave a detailed and frank account of his life and impending death.he explained that the condition arose due to both parents having a defective Gene causing the condition that he had to endure, and to put the icing on the cake he contracted CANCER to which he decide to decline any treatment.Whilst he went through the programme allow us to see him living his life on a day to day basis the final outcome would be for us all to see his much wanted release from pain & burden to his family\society,by the planning of each stage of his funeral.

At times it was heart tugging at others funny, like when his mother was dressing his full body on a weekly bandage change, due to the lack of skin on his arms and shoulders the flesh stuck to the bandage, though not meaning to she tugged too hard causing bleeding and much distress to Johnny
on the other hand when asked by the director what it was like, to be like this he said "Imagine being a perpetual wanker what would your dick be like" to which i just fell about laughing.

Underlying was the need for Johnny to bring about the awareness of those suffering this plight, this was documented by his own untireless efforts to raise public attention and support i.e parachute jumps, radio interviews, celebrity sponsored events and backing culminating in the meeting with Cheerie Blair who became a patron for the charity that was established.
What was most disturbing to find was that during one of thes events it was stated the lab research had been able to grow skin that would aid others in need, but was too late to save Johnny. One of the major points he tried to impart to us was his own belief in an after life, coupled with his belief that he came here to learn whether that meant living a life of constant pain was part and parcel of it,also those involved around him, mother, farther, siblings, friends had to learn in their own way how to deal with pain.
As i said earlier i found it sad yet funny, but felt a sense of relief when the end came for him and those around him.I live a life were i have very few instances of pain or illness, when i do its just a blip in my life not an entirety of this,i found Johnny to be a couragess man dealing with his plight to the very end,but the biggest thing was allowing us to see it from his own point of view right to the very end.He said that he hated the thought of ANGELS sitting on clouds playing a harp and that he hoped that he would encourage them to leap off dropping thousands of feet, then soaring all the way back up i hope he gets his wish .

i have just read this article in the Guardian this states that 360 private companies, universities, and government departments have or are trying to obtain the technology for the use of WMD.Iran,Pakistan,Israel,Syria,Egypt,
India, are some of those doing this and that Companies within the United Arab Emirates are the covers for this. With whats just happened overnight Re-earthquake in pakistan feeding into india\afghanistan (7.06 scale) i find it quite worrying , is there a possibility that should these countries build wmd and continue to suffer earthquakes that by accident one of these wmd go off.I do realize that there will be in place security measures, but we cant predict the unexpected. I'm just so glad that i don't have any children, for to think that they would be left in a world with such an uncertain future is no comfort
