GMail is now giving every user 2 gigs of storage to celebrate their 1st birthday. I checked my inbox to make sure that I have 2 gigs of space before posting this.
I have 50 invites to give away. PM me with an email address to send your invite to. First come, first served.

Seems I have 4 GMail invites to give away, and no one to give them to. First 4 people to PM me get them.
As and when I get more invites, I'll post them here.

This may seem like a silly question, but here goes anyways.
For thousands of years, technology pretty much stood still. Let's go back to the biblical times (anywhere on the planet, not just in the Middle East), and take a look at how people got around. They either walked, or if they were fairly wealthy, they had a horse, pony, donkey, or some kind of animal drawn conveyance. They had no electricity, or major technology to speak of. This trend continued up until just before the twentieth century. There was very little or no technological progress at all. Then, all of a sudden, we had a spurt of technological advancement. Electricity, motor vehicles, nuclear technology, computers, space travel (only in our immediate part of this solar system, but space travel all the same). Most of, or all of this technological spurt happened within the space of a mere hundred years or so. So, what happened. Why did mankind mark time for thousands of years, and then in the space of 1 century take what could be seen as a giant technological leap? Theories anyone?

Hi all.
As you can see, I'm yet another noob on the board. I looked long and hard for a message board like this one. In fact, it was getting to the point where I was actually considering putting one together and tossing it up on my little chunk of cyber real estate. No need to do that now  While I've never seen a UFO, an alien (would we be the aliens to them? ), or been abducted, I firmly believe that we are not alone.
Looking forward to hanging out here and meeting new people, and maybe learning a bunch of stuff. |
