Ben's Video/song

Ben wrote me a song but he hasn't had a chance to record it properly, so we decided to video him performing it for posterity (and just in case he carks it and I never get to hear it again!)

New Zealand photo slideshow

I downloaded Simple Viewer - a free flash photo album program, which works with Picasa (a free Google photo organiser program - get it - it's brilliant!), and made this album of our recent trip to New Zealand. If you want a painless way of making a cool album, get these programs. /advert

I think I've already posted a couple of these pics. Mary (Silverglance), Ben and I went to NZ for three days. If we'd known how lovely it was we would have stayed longer. We're all hoping to go back the same time next year and hire a motorhome for a week. We stayed in Auckland and went south to the Waitomo glow worm caves, and then tried to get to Rotorua but got waylaid at the cosy bar at the NZ ski fields. I can't rave enough about the gorgeous scenery in NZ - it really is as spectacular as it looks in the LOTR films. I don't think I took enough photos to really do it justice, but to get an idea of the place you can have a squiz at these:

Wahey! It's another goodbye post!

There are some really nice people here, and then there's some not-so-nice, which is a shame cos I don't feel 'safe' here at all. I'm not up for dealing with people I can't fathom or trust - frankly they scare the crap out of me. So I guess it's 'goodbye', to anyone who knows me here at all. I haven't posted much, but I've lurked and followed your stories - good luck to you all. This forum has certainly been an eye opener at the very least.

Computer gurus - wireless internet question

I have a wireless modem-router, attached to the old computer by a network cable in the study. Then I have a wireless networking card in my new computer in my bedroom, which is just down the hall. The wireless internet keeps disconnecting and it's driving me barmy. Sometimes it stays on all day, other times it disconnects every few minutes and I have to go through the 'repair' thing under network connections. Is this typical of wireless internet or do you think I may have a faulty modem or wireless card?
