My first proper UFO sighting down in Australia........
Well after a difficult car journey down to Fairhaven late at night. The four of us finally arrive, and decide to celebrate down at the beach..... At about 4:30am a mate starts yelling about a UFO he is seeing that is flashing a light in the night sky....that he was been watching for a minute or so. Then we all saw it....It was right near us out to sea, there were some clouds that probably shaded our view for where it started. It first was a bright white light that was maybe 3-4 kms altitude. It was moving east towards Melbourne. Then changes direction slightly and the white light dims till it is almost out, while moving in a NE to E to NE continually. Now it is quite dim and you could almost not see it. Then the light dims on again but it is red and it is shining. But it wasnt as strong as the white light, but it was further away. If I could speculate as to the shape, it was probably disc or a ball, and probably the size of a small plane..... One thing I dont have to speculate on now is the existance of EBE's as I can safely say, that was no made made craft.... It was a nice trip down at the Beach in this somewhat failed Summer we have had down here..... Keegan

Biggest news of the year: Janet Jackson - The Age 27/12/05
Celebrities, iPods and natural disasters topped online interest in the year-end summary of requests on search engine Google. Almost half of October's 5.1 billion internet searches worldwide were made through Google, research company Nielsen//NetRatings reported, with requests providing an insight into the interests, concerns and desires of internet users. The US website did not reveal the most popular search topics of the year in its annual Zeitgeist research. It did not say why but one possibility is that it includes porn or Google's commercial competitors such as Microsoft. It disclosed which sites had the most increase in searches during the year and also those that topped requests in Google's "news" category. Singer Janet Jackson topped that section over rumours about a secret daughter, ahead of disasters including hurricane Katrina and last year's tsunami. Her brother Michael was in sixth place. A skew towards pop culture is evident in the results, with Hollywood actors, singers and boy-wizard Harry Potter all making the top 10. The site that gained the biggest increase in searches was Myspace, a community website that allows people to link their friends and contacts. A similar site, orkut, was also in the top five. Ares, a file trading network similar to Napster and Bit Torrent, was second, ahead of Chinese search engine Baidu. Its design resembles that of Google. The fourth-placed site was Wikipedia, a controversial online encyclopedia that anyone can contribute to and edit. Its open nature has stirred debate about its accuracy. Also growing in popularity we re Apple's music store iTunes, Sky News, computer game World of Warcraft, pop-punk band Green Day and painter Leonardo da Vinci - thanks to his appearance in the best-selling book The Da Vinci Code. A section of the Google search engine - Froogle - which allows people to compare prices of goods sold online demonstrates the continuing popularity of the iPod music player. Half the top 10 searches related to the device, with digital cameras and computer game consoles also ranking highly. Web-ranking service Alexa lists Google as the third most popular site on the internet. Ten local Google variants are in the top 100, with the Australian site the 86th most popular site. WHAT PUSHED OUR BUTTONS IN 2005 FASTEST MOVERS The searches that had the most increased interest 1. Myspace (online community) 2. Ares (file-sharing network) 3. Baidu (Chinese search engine) 4. World of Warcraft (online role- playing game ) 9. Green Day (US pop-punk band) 10. Leonardo da Vinci (Renaissance painter and inventor) TOP NEWS SEARCHES 1. Who gives a shit, I mean what do they ever do for us.......? Its a sick, sad world that people care more about some stupid celebrity rumour than a natural disaster or politics....... Sorry for bitchin'..............but this gets on my nerves............ :banghead:

Some Mexican Air Force flyers on patrol for drug traffickers may have intercepted something far more exotic.
They videotaped fast-moving lights that seemed to be flying in a rough formation tracking their plane. Click here to find out more! The pilot says that they first saw one light, then three, then up to 16 lights were following them. The pilot says that he was not able to get close enough to identify the unidentified flying objects, but said that he has never seen anything like it. The plane was on routine patrol over the Campeche region of Mexico looking for drug-related aircraft. Mexican UFOs........ I couldnt get the video to work, but could access the pictures..... They appear to be glowing balls or discs, probably reflecting the light off their silver shell, seeings as the are black & white photos....... What do you think.............? Mexican UFO sighting no big deal.........

A sparrow which was shot dead for knocking over 23,000 dominoes in the Netherlands is to go on display at Rotterdam's Natural History Museum.
The bird almost spoiled a televised world record attempt before it was killed with an air rifle. The shooting caused a public outcry. Animal rights groups condemned the bird's killing last month and a website was erected in its honour. On Friday, the bird's killer was fined for shooting a protected species. Prosecutors said the exterminator who killed it should have known better and fined him 170 euros (£114; $200). Freezer The organisers argued the killing was justified, as more than 100 people had worked for a month setting up the dominoes, but they held a TV memorial for the bird. They went on to topple about four million dominoes, claiming a new record - which still has to be verified by Guinness World Records. The bird was kept in a government freezer after its killing became a criminal matter. It will be placed on top of a box of dominoes in an exhibition on sparrows next year. Source.................. |
