New Server

Hello all,

Good news guys. =)

We have a new server. Fresh and clean and dedicated which should take care of the issues which have plagued us since we have had ramped up traffic and load. This hopefully will solve all these issues.

Please let me know if any comes accross any issues with the dreaded "Too many connections" error. I now have the flexibility to ramp up the number of connections we can use since the connections are all ours to use. So please post here if you come accross this error. This has come to some expense to me but I think it should be worth it for the site as it cannot grow if it is going down because of it. =P (but feel free to click some ads or give a donation if you can).

State of the union address

Hello all,

First of all I would like to apologize for the way the forum has been behaving lately. I did not realize it has been acting so poorly. I have been outrageously busy with work on some very large projects which have basically taken over my life. I plan to make more time for the site to ensure that everything improves and hope to get some time to post more as well.

Second one ... forum is definitely not being shutdown ... in fact we would like to grow the site some. Expand it and if anyone has any way they would like the site improved please let me or one of the mods know.

Now, what are we doing to correct the issues?
One of the issues the site has as well is the server it is currently running on. This needs to change and we plan to do a move very shortly(less that a week) to a new more powerful machine. This should correct a good portion of the issues regarding posting. This is at some expense to us as servers to handle sites such as this aren't cheap but I am willing to do it to keep the site moving forward. I will make another post when we are about to do this move so that you will know what is up in case of any issues during the move.

I also have someone who works for me who I plan to have follow the site more closely to ensure that everything is sailing along smoothly. As well I now have direct contact with Dingo so if anything issues arise that we miss she can let us know and we will do our best to make sure everything is cool again.

Everything will get sorted shortly and I hope to get some time to chat will you all shortly. Again sorry for the issues. And if you feel the need to vent - I have thick skin but definitely prefer love over hate. =)

Trading Spouses anyone?

Hi guys,

This is a bit of a weird one but figured I would throw it out there because I'm fairly sure it is for real and I'm not sure if anyone would be interested in doing it. So please bear with me.

Tonight I received an email from Bo Palinic (I checked it out seems legit) and he is wondering if anyone from our site would be interested in being on the show Trading Spouses. Belated Hello

Hi guys,

I am mrRonX. I am one of the new admin of Alien UFOs.

I have been working hard on the redesign and code upgrade of the site.

We have added a few new sections to the public portion of the site:
- Gallery (image gallery) (http://www.alien-ufos.com/gallery/)
- Media (media videos pdf etc gallery) (http://www.alien-ufos.com/media)
- Content Submission Area (http://www.alien-ufos.com/suggestcontent) If anyone has any content or a new area of the site they would like to see please advise me using this format.

I hope most of these changes will not affect the forum in any way(The forum is completely untouched there are no plans for any changes unless requested). Please advise me on your overall feelings on this and I will do my best to reply to any concerns.

I hope we can have a lot of fun together.
