I created this thread on another forum (so many of you might have seen it already=) however, I believe it's a very interesting subject.

You've more than likely have seen most of these images through out your life, but when they are all put together in one place, it shows just how vast and ancient these creations are -and have seemingly been a part of our landscape.

--------

People have been creating art for thousands of years -which looks very much like today's depictions of UFOs. I find that quite interesting. Do people nowadays create the art taken from these images?

So you have found an amazing forum filled with open-minded people sharing their experiences and looking for (their) truth.
You have found a place where scared people often come...seeking advice on how to handle something paranormal in nature. You will see kind people spending their precious time to help people and give sound advice.
Great, right?

So what do you do?
Well, you might make up a story filled with aliens coming into your room late at night to abduct you. You might create a few persona's to add to the plausibility of your story. You might even create fake characters to pm people for the sole purpose of scaring them off your trail. You might make sock puppets to create the illusion that telling false stories should be accepted.
You might try to make the mods look out to be big fascist meanies.

Here's the thing about doing that.
You waste people's time and their concern about something which you just made up. You take the benefit of the doubt people give you and run with it -hoping to get a little attention. Now, there must be another way for you to get your "attention fix" because there is nothing good about conning people. It's bad karma. You are bearing false witness. It's a ethical crime against your fellow humans.

You should also figure out that the mods know exactly where your computer is located, and how many characters have your same exact IP. This makes the moderators feel bad for all the people who cared about your story. Imagine how that must feel to them. You may be able to 'hide' your location for awhile -but what a waste of time on your part.

So, what exactly is the benefit for you?
What do you really get out of doing that? Does it make you feel better that virtual strangers take the time to worry about you? Are you doing it just to get a laugh out of the kooky believers who wanted to trust you?

Just because people are kind and open minded, does not mean that they are so open-minded that their brains are spilling out. People will begin to figure it out, the mods already know...and you just lost a bunch of good karma.

Sometimes you make it hard to believe the next person with a real story.

So, my advice to you is think about other ways to get attention which doesn't involve wasting time and compassion of truly wonderful people.
It gets tedious and tiresome -after you've been here for awhile.

You know what?
People will still like you even if you don't have an aliens coming to get you -marking your body and probing you like there is no tomorrow.

Just a suggestion...

"We Discordians must stick apart."

Sadly for us, Robert Anton Wilson is getting ready to leave his flesh suit for yet a different Cosmos. He’d like to do it with dignity from the comfort of his own home.

But we live in a World where somebody as wonderful as RAW -will die destitute if he does not receive help for those of us whose very lives have been changed by this great man.

How sad it is that a World can leave a man like RAW in this kind of situation; while there are vampire-people sucking humans dry of their very essence and resources while living in a way that is purely sinful, amoral and evil in direct relation to humanity.

Donate what you can to this purely amazing man.

Anybody else who wasn't here; when that day happened -ever wonder what was going on that day?

That's sure a lot of users, I'll say.

Anybody who was here, could you tell me what happened that day?
I'm soooo curious.

Like did the ghost of Stanley Kubrick show up and tell awesome stories about being dead?

Ya'll wanna read an extremely funny, sad, sick, twisted, really surreal essay?

It's called "THE CONSPIRACY" by Rev. Ivan Stang
Don't let the name fool you...

This probably won't go over too well considering that it's long and filled with all the passion of a rant but with a surrealist bent.

Anyone familiar with “The Church Of Bob” won’t want to miss it!
