Our Pets

Hey everyone, I couldn't wait to show you all the latest addition to the family! Her name's Lilith and she's a Staffy - half British, half American. She was born on the 11th of November 2007, incidentally the same day my other dog, Caesar was born, eight years previous.

If anyone wants to share pictures and stories of their own beloved pets, I've started this thread for just such a purpose...or something...

Did I miss anything?

Hello again, it’s been a while. Did I miss anything? I haven’t had the internet (or a phone for that matter) for about a year – my flatmate refuses to pay the bill, stubborn bastard!

Anyway, I just thought I’d drop in and say ‘hi’ while I had a chance. I kinda miss the company to be honest! I’ve been a little messed up and there’s been some really crazy shit going on but I’m working thru it and hopefully I’ll find some equilibrium eventually!

Enough about me though, how’s everyone here been traveling? Still the same bunch of freaks and misfits and open-minded philosophers and geniuses and so on, I hope! I’m gonna try to stay active in these hallowed halls of excellence and stimulate the mess where my brain once was, so I guess you can look forward to suffering my mindless ramblings and ill-conceived theories once again. “Hooray for me!” you’re all thinking, sarcastically, I’m sure!

Zoloft and Marijuana

Hey guys, it's been a while but I'm back - hopefully better than ever!

I've been diagnosed with chronic depression and my doctor has prescribed Zoloft to ease the chemical imbalance in my head. I've only just started on it and it has yet to kick in, so I still feel pretty messed up. I normally smoke a bit of weed to help me sleep and to cope with the fucked up feelings, but I'm a bit worried now that it is going to have an adverse reaction with the Zoloft.

I guess I just want to find out: Does anybody know of any bad reactions between the two substances? Any information would be much appreciated

What Do Butterflies Symbolise?

I had a bit of a reverie about a week ago where the events of my life up until now were compared to the life cycle of a butterfly. Without going into too much detail, I visualised how the different phases of my life could compare to the stages of development a caterpillar goes through before it's metamorphosis into a butterfly.

Ever since this vision, I have been seeing butterflies everywhere! And I'm not just noticing more of them - they've been hitting me in the face, I've seen the exact same butterfly tattoo on about six different people, in the exact same place (between the shoulder blades), my good friend and housemate just recieved a ring from her old workmates that is a butterfly, my Big Day Out ticket has one on it - and so on.

There have been a million other examples, and I was just wondering if anyone knew what, if anything, Butterflies are meant to represent or symbolise? It has me perplexed - I know that it means something, I just wish I knew what! Can anyone help me?

Nexus Magazine ran a series of articles by Dr. Valery Uvarov a while back that I thought you might be interested in. Apparently he's the head of the Department of UFO Research, Science and Technical, National Security Academy, based in St Petersburg, Russia, and he's been researching the Tunguska Incident and other related stuff in Siberia.
