When I look at this world, I can’t help but wonder if what we know is simply of our own creation.
In life there is a multitude of routes one can take to reach an end, its like a worm eating its way through an apple, it can go many ways and still reach the other side. So is it that people are like worms, eating their way through an apple?. I think there is nothing fundamentally different about a person who has no faith to a person who has faith, they still believe in something even if its nothing. while we are on our grand exploration of this life, we look for things to believe in, to discharge our will if anything else, and by our side we have desires that burn brighter than the sun, and an imagination that paints the stars. Together they are a dangerous combination, because if you desire something your imagination through innovation will make it yours. People claim to have found truth all the time, whether its in god, or in science. Both seem rational to an unbiased unassuming individual, and yet a priest thinks blasphemy of science and the scientist thinks stupidity of a religion. Science is closest thing to magic, and nature is the closest thing to an existing god. The lovely thing is that scientists can show you spectacular experiments to prove theories, and priests can show you nature and the beauties found in life to also prove theories. A scientist may say that we came here through a series of random events in our history. A priest may say that we are here, yet we do not need to be here. Both are theories both are sane. One favors probability, the other favors a mysterious creator.

And by it, I mean we.
Perhaps we are filled with so much power to govern our own existence that it overwhelms us. Such responsibility shouldn't be given to us alone. So we hide from our responsibility and decide to forfeit our power, willingly. Supernatural mumbo jumbo, prophetic nonsense, godly and demonic beings, created by us to give the illusion that things are simply out of our control. Perhaps life is simply more interesting that way, since we wont feel as guilty when we fail at a task. perhaps its more appealing, then accepting a reality where everything can be answered and accounted for. Perhaps thinking that Albert Einstein was just a god given genius, is more appealing then the reality that he may have been just like you or me. Perhaps the Christ is more in love with himself then god, maybe he thinks so highly of himself that he can preach the words of a god, vanity may have lead him to think a portion of his being is god like, so we just see him in a light that he has obtained or understands something we simply cannot, Maybe the christ understands no more then you or I.

So the interesting little fact that we will end really isn't that interesting at all, but I'll tell you what.
If we are going to end, when, why, and how will it happen are important things to know? Take and deep breath and allow yourself to think about what I'm going to tell you. As practical as it maybe to know the facts of life. The most impractical happens to be the most practical which is also the most realistic and least interesting fact of when, why, and how we will die...... So the important thing to note is that now is not a time. We will die in the future which will never happen because of our untimely demise and because everything that can begin will come to an end sadly, even good things like a cup of coffee on Sunday Morning. And since now is not a time and since the future can't be now....well I think you get the picture.

I was thinking on the lines of how the "civilized world" helps the rest of world.
It seems that there is this commonly accepted view that something wrong with the rest of world. And in particular something wrong with how people live their lives. Perhaps it’s just how they/we decide to see, “Anything that does not resemble our way must be wrong, because we are up here and you are down their” kind of mentality. But in retrospect did the civilized world not go through the same experiences? And in my eyes the more we try to help the more harm we do, perhaps we should just sit back and let the world take it’s course. China and Japan both adopted policies of isolation from the rest of the world and as a result within 30 years they have established themselves among the leading nations. Sorry if I seem a little naive but my forte is mostly philosophy and this just came to mind

Moses was up against mysteries, which he wanted to explore.
He searched out a man endued with knowledge. Derived from the divine springs from which flow the paradoxes of life. He is shown three such paradoxes and how human impatience is inconsistent with their true understanding. The highest knowledge comes not expect by divine gifts, a constant, patient striving, with faith to apprehend something of the purpose of the All wise. The figure Moses was searching form is a man that goes by the name of Khidir ( literal meaning is, Green) Moses searches for him at a location he calls the Junction of the two seas (The most probably geographical location is where the two arms of the Red Sea join together, viz, the Gulf of 'Aqabah and the Gulf of Suez. They enclose the Sinai Peninsula) Moses and his attendants head to the literal Junction the space where the two seas unite, and they come across a man by the name of Khidir He is a mysterious being, who had to be sought out. He has the secrets of the paradoxes of life, which ordinary people don't understand, or understand in a wrong sense. The nearest equivalent Figure in the literature of the People of the Book is Melchizedek or Melchisedek (The Greek form in the New Testament). In the Quran (Surah 18 Al Kahf 18:60-82, "Section 9") he's true name is not know but he is known as Khidir meaning "Green" becouse his knowledge is fresh and green. In Genesis XiV 18-20, he appears as king of Salem, priest of the most high God: He blesses Abraham, and Abraham gives him tithes. St. Paul allegorises him in is Epistle to the Hebrew (v. 6-10; vii, 1-10) "he was without father, without mother, without decent, having neither beginning of days nor end of life" That is to say, he appeared mysteriously; neither his parentage nor pedigree is known, and he seems to live for all time. Search this man out. |
