Secret files on UFO sightings have been made available for the first time by the Ministry of Defence.
The documents, which can be downloaded from the National Archives website, cover the period from 1978 to 1987. The eight released files are part of almost 200 files set to be made available over the next four years. These documents will be available to download for free for the first month. http://ufos.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

I had a thought today that I'd like to share and expand on with your help.
The thought was that we humans have reached the pinnacle of our evolution. The reason for this I think, is that we are no longer governed by natural selection, which as I understand is the driving force behind evolution. Human existence is no longer a case of 'survival of the fittest', we take care of the sick and infirm, we nurture and protect the weak in our societies (which I believe is a good thing). We don't have to adapt to overcome our environment because we have clothing and concrete. we are not even really a part of the food chain anymore as we don't have prominent predators hunting us down and sharping our bodies and minds. What do you think? Where do we go from here? Is there anything left for us to achieve in an evolutionary sense?

Hi all, I'm a long time reader first time poster on this forum. I have a bit of time on my hands at this juncture of my life so I thought that I would try to contribute if I can. I've been a reader of this site for a while and enjoy reading what many of you post. I feel that there are some clever minds here and I look forward to learning as much as I can share.
Peace, love and empathy, Darren. |
