I don’t consider myself as a sceptic. I don’t consider my self as a believer either.
I just like to keep an open mind and I do not reject nothing. The only risk I run is to make a fool of myself wich in my life I have experienced quite a lot and honestly don’t care too much about.

But also, I am a logical person:

Number of known galaxies in the univrese: 3000
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/astronomy/faq/part8/section-4.html

number of stars in our galaxy 400,000,000,000
http://seds.lpl.arizona.edu/messier/more/mw.html

400,000,000,000 X 3000 = 1,200,000,000,000,000 stars aprox
This number is beyond the imagination for most of us. It is probably more than the number if sand grains on our planet (I did not verify this assumption… wink.gif

What is the possibility that at least one of those stars had a livable planet about like earth where life evolved to an intelligent being at least as intelligent as us?
This is without considering that life could also evolve in an environment very different than the one we consider needed to sustain life.

One would need to be VERY foolish, narrow minded and also ILLOGIC to not open his mind to the very high possibility that we are not alone to be intelligent in the universe …

As for me, I think our universe is sworming with intelligent life...

As for the possibility that one of this intelligence is visiting us?
Well… lets read the other threads… wink.gif
