We don't have nukes in Iraq, do we? Because if we did, that would totally defeat the purpose of why we went in there in the first place.

But you forgot a weapon:

The Beard-Seeking Missile

Plus, I heard the US hired some of those sand whompas from Star Wars to attack the insurgents.

I also heard a terrorist tried a drive-by shooting while riding a camel. Only Malik Mullah Derka Derka Jihadi's fruit stand was damaged.

Quick Q&A:

Why are there no K-Marts in Iraq?

Because there's a Target on every corner. (I think only Americans will get this one.)

Osama bin Laden is riding through Kabul on a camel. A man walking by says to his buddy "Hey, check out that camel with two assholes."

"One thing we learned, bombing works. ... We've flown over 2,800 sorties, dropped 15 tons in warheads, and done $39 in damage. But we're a compassionate nation ... and when this is all over, we're going to put the rocks and dirt back."
—Comedian Al Franken

"More bad news for the Taliban. Remember how they are promised 72 virgins when they die? Turns out that it's only one 72-year-old virgin."
—Jay Leno

"You read about all these terrorists, most of them came here legally, but they hung around on these expired visas, some for as long as 10-15 years. Now, compare that to Blockbuster; you are two days late with a video and these people are all over you. Let's put Blockbuster in charge of immigration."

—Jay Leno

Q: How is Bin Laden like Fred Flintstone?
A: Both may look out their windows and see Rubble.

Q: What does Osama bin laden and General Custer have in common?
A: They both want to know where those Tomahawks are coming from!

Three guys, a Canadian, Osama Bin Laden and Uncle Sam are out walking together one day. They come across a lantern and a Genie pops out of it. "I will give each of you one wish, that's three wishes total," says the Genie. The Canadian says, "I am a farmer, my dad was a farmer, and my son will also farm. I want the land to be forever fertile in Canada." With a blink of the Genie's eye, 'POOF' the land in Canada was forever made fertile for farming.

Osama Bin Laden was amazed, so he said, "I want a wall around Afghanistan, so that no infidels, Jews or Americans can come into our precious state." Again, with a blink of the Genie's eye, 'POOF' there was a huge wall around Afghanistan.

"Uncle Sam" (a former civil engineer), asks, "I'm very curious. Please tell me more about this wall." The Genie explains, "Well, it's about 15,000 feet high, 500 feet thick and completely surrounds the country; nothing can get in or out -- virtually impenetrable."

Uncle Sam says, "Fill it with water."

No nukes. Would be a bit hard to cover up if we used one of those. You know, the whole large mushroom cloud and massive release of radiation.

BTW, thanks for the good laugh, I needed it biggrin.gif

thats kinda a dated joke though since the taliban is out of power now but still funny. I wouldn't want to see that happen to all the people there since OBL definitely doesn't speak for the majority who detested the taliban just as much as anyone.

If these 'smart bombs' are so smart, how come they land on civilians, miss the target, or land on friendlys? How may times have US fighters jets bombed Canadians or British troops, killing them? Get off you high horse and take some responsiblity as being the worlds only super-mercenary...

Keehan. you are complaining about something you don't understand. why go off on a rant, mabey he is interested in military weapons, whats so wrong about that.why are you trying to highjack this thread with nonsense.

Gentlemen please....Tony...when someone is clearly not happy with America's role in the world why do people presume it's born of 'Jealousy or envy?'. Why can't people have a genune political dislike for what America represents? I understand anyone wanting to defend America but to melt it down and say it is born of jealousy is simply not even attempting to understand where the other person is coming from.

I too enjoy military weaponary and such, but just the way the said the US soldiers always kick butt, its a bit arrogant dude. If America feels what they are doing to right, than good on them. I see that some of the things they have done for the world have benefitted many. Its just you dont have to rub in the superpower thing, yeah you are mega rich, so who cares?

fine...the point is this thread is about military weapons, why complain about someone who may have an interest in that and turn it into a thread about how wrong America is

The power of an atomic bomb is fascinating and shocking at the same time, I think it deserves some though about it and not only handclapping about the fascination. Maybe we should think that any weapon might be fascinating as long as it is not pointed at you in order to kill you...

And yes I find the videos of nuclear bombs fascinating too, but I agree with Keegan that there is no room for nationalistic pride because of that. If someone knows a normal uncut video of those tests I long looked for one.
