Well, we all seem to agree that our leader is somewhat of an idiot, which as an American, I find very disturbing. Thanks the lord, he's out of office in short time... The question is: Who's the next dumbass to fill the office?
I'm leaning towards ex-mayor of NYC Rudolph Guilliani. I didn't vote for him for mayor but he did a decent job and he's a trustworthy sort. As I've always believed, anyone who wants to be president should immediately be disqualified. Supposedly it's the worst job on the planet. Good men and women who know better, ones that don't want the job, should be forced to do it for the betterment of this great country. (lol) Here's a little story a wise-guy once told me...: It's 30 days after JFK starts his presidency. he gets a visit in the oval office from the head of the Italian Mafia, Fat Tony. Fat Tony comes in and sits down, smiles at the President and says, "So Johnny, what's it like being the president of the most powerful nation in the world?" JFK sighs, leans back in his chair and says, "Frankly Tony... What a lousy f***ed up job this turned out to be!" I love that story, true or not you get the point. So who's the nexts idiot?! |

Nobody could be near as bad as Bush. I don't think the next person in office will be an idiot. But I think the next person as president will be Hillary Clintion.

Oh man Kelly you just sent shivers up my spine! lol
Here's my Nostradamus prediction after thinking about it... President Rudolph Guillani (The first Italian American President). Vice President Hillary Clinton (The First Female Vice President) Now, that would be some friggin dream team as far as I'm concerned. |

(RWTAKEN) Vice President Hillary Clinton (The First Female Vice President) Dude, you just contradicted yourself, because everyone knows that Hillary is eyeing the big seat. She had a chance to second during the last election and turned it down. We all know she will run in 08' and most agree, democrats included, that she will lose. This country is not ready for a female president. I would love for Powell to run, but he's too smart.
Gulliani is a Republican, and if he runs, stands a good chance of winning. |

I don't think the democratic Party will allow her to run as president, it's too much of a risk, but offer her the VP job, which I think she's be really good at. Remember she's my Senator here in NY as she's. for the most part, been a decent one.

Presidency is a front in my paranoid opinion, so no matter who goes in next, I believe the outcome will be the same no matter what..
I believe this to be true for most/all countries (for those ready to bash me for 'taking a shot' at their presidency and what it represents).. including Canada... |

Seriously Ventura is the perfect guy, he is pro-atheist, pro-medicalmarajuana, pro-prostitution, and he played in The Predator.

That is what I thought for a very long time Predator. The country cannot be any worse under Hillary than it is under Bush. As I recall, Ventura made mention that he might run for office in 2008.

Darth, he said he will probabaly run in the 08' , he wants Colin Powel to be his running mate though which proabably won't happen
I have met Hillary on 4 occasions and trust me you do not want her as president, she seems oblivious to everything around her. She truly gives meaning to the phrase 'you wouldn't know it even if it bit you in the ass'. |

Well... I like him better than most, which is surprising as I'm a democrat... but he was a great mayor, even though I hate the smoking laws he installed, he really did make this a safer, cleaner nicer place to live.

Its interesting to speculate who the next President will be. I personally agree with RW in that I can't see Hilary Clinton being given the Democrat ticket as she has too many enemies within her own party and would lose a lot of Republicans who will vote Democrat with the right candidate. Gulliani who is a Republican has been making noise about running but the people behind the scenes know his being Italian won't attract votes in rural Republican America nor will the fact that he is a New Yorker. Republicans also love ex-military people. Also keep in mind Jebb Bush for sure is going to want to run for the Republicans sooner or later. I think Senator McCain the mdoerate Republican might be there next leader as he is ex-military, is a military hero, but is moderate enough to swing democrat votes. If the Republicans were smart they would turn to Colin Powell who appropriately distanced himself from Bush and would be forgiven by Republicans and swing enough Democrat votes not just from blacks but
from moderates. On the Democratic side, its hard to say right now. No one in the Democrat party has really shown any promise. In regards to Jesse Ventura, he is without a doubt the most interesting U.S. politician in a long time. His politics defy a left or right label. He is an ex Navy seal so do not let the fact that he was a professional wrestler fool you, he is not a dummy. He sounds like a right wing patriot but he also is very moderate on gay and social rights and has genuine compassion for working class people and the poor so he is a hard guy to figure out -just when you think he is a right wing big business guy he swings back and defends the little guy. He also claims to be a Libertarian. Definitely an interesting guy. Don't know if America is ready for a former pro wrestler in the White House. I am sure Vince MacMahon would finance his campaign. |

Hillary ran the White House while Bill was having an affair with Monica. Personally, I won't mind seeing Senator Evan Bayh as President.
