I think it is possible that artificial intelligence one day will be as smart or smarter then us so maybe if they wanted they could take control of earth.

The further our technology advances the closer to reality movies like I robot or Terminator can become.

the 3 laws of cybernetics are

Take control of the workforce

take control of the Government

Kill man!

and if there was a 4th law, it would tell us them to read law 3.

Why would a robot have the same negative emotions like anger or fear to start killing or dominating human beings? The demand for such a robot would have been conceived in a human mind. If a goal is calculated, with blindness for the means, then a robot would perhaps easier say: well then, let's reduce the earth population or kill the opponents of a certain plan. There would have to be certain "stops" programmed to rule out these scenarios. I wouldn't believe that robots would have emotions, and if so, would they still be robots? In how far is our own psyche something that behaves to laws or patterns b.t.w.?
