Well for all my friends that have followed my posts this past 12 months......"IT IS NOW OFFICIAL"....."WE ARE NOW THE PROUD PARENTS OF THREE LOVELY ADOPTED CHILDREN" biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Today was the final court hearing, and all the adoption papers have been signed, I hope to post a family photo in a week or two.

Thank you all the people who give us support and kind words, it is good to know that true friendship has no borders. smile.gif

Thank you so much for all the good wishes....yep it is now official and all signed, the kids are more relaxed (they no longer show the fear that social services, or other official body, will come in the night to take them away).

It has been an education for us all taking on 3 kids at once, not many people take up adoption of older sibling groups these days, which is really sad as the rewards are priceless. smile.gif

Again thank you to all my friends, with special thanks to Mary, and the rest of the crew. smile.gif

Thank you my friend....Lol don't go telling the missus I am a "noble man" she would take full advantage of my new title (I try to make her think she has a typical husband...hehe helps me get away with murder). wink.gif biggrin.gif

I'm so happy for you all.

I feel like I kind of "know" you on here, and you and Vonnie really seem like truely good hearted folks. I'm sure many, many years of happiness are in store for you all.

You guys are so cool, I am honoured and humbled by all the friends I have made here at A-U, and you all feel like family to me......Thank you all so much for taking the time to listen to my rantings, and for sending good wishes to us.

We got the adoption orders through the post today, it has gone so smoothly for us all (strangely it all feels so natural), and the kids are more settled now it is all finalized, the next big event for us is two weeks at Disney world florida this coming June (I think I am more excited than the kids are). biggrin.gif

22 now you know I adore you so I have to warn you about adopting grown males;

1-you should always get them when they are young so you can break them in and fix them

2-they are very territorial and get into a lot of fights so you definitely need a leesh and be prepared for them peeing on everything

3-they have a tendency to embarass you in public places by licking their balls

4-they do silly things like cause wars, quote the Bible before they kill and they can get downright hairy and beligerent

5-they can be trained but putting the toilet seat down or squeezing the tooth paste tube at the top are not easy- you have to repeat and reward, repeat and reward

6-sometimes you have to hose them down because they are down right stinky.

Anyways far be it for me to say anything to you.

As an aside...I'll keep that in mind Rube ( :bangfist: Now I feel quite slighted 'cause I was always given the excuse that if they could lick their own...oh nevermind biggrin.gif)...thanks for the pointers! lol Ok back to family business smile.gif

WTG.. congratulations! shoot now you're in for the hard slog , no going back, welcome to the club! Did you have to do a course in debate and compromise first, coz if you havnt I would go now! wink.gif
Florida, thats a long way, get them earning gameboys now! all the dishes till time to go and then each get a game boy?
I see masses of fun on the horizon for you both, enjoy every second
every wonderful or sad moment, every scrape scratch or tummy ache. every school report, all the moments when you are so hungry for five minutes to yourself, coz one day they will grow up and you wont have those precious moments again.
Oh and one piece of advice, the school isn't necessarily always right but generally if you go into the heads office the chairs are comfy although erm. dont do what I do.. it's NOT advisable to sit in his chair wink.gif smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif
