Does anyone think that Barry Bonds will break Hand Aarons HR record? If he does, should there be an astrix next to his record?

Barry Bonds is a tool and so's his record. He was a juicer plain and simple.

Sigh...here we go again lol...who is Barry Bonds? What does getting an asterix beside his name denote? And what the hell is a 'juicer'?

The problem I have with Bonds is the media reaction to him breaking Ruth sacred record. Here is player that admitted taking steroid. His excuse is that “I didn’t know what I was taking” and was provided by his trainer. This is the excuses little kids in elementary kids use when caught doing something they shouldn’t have. Why is it that Jason Grimsley is treated in one way while Bonds treated in another way in the media?

Ben, Barry Bonds is baseball player here in the USA that has just broken Babe Ruth HR record and on its way to breaking Hank Aaron’s record. He has being accused taking steroids while playing for the Giants. It is heated topic here in the US, especially with Sen. John McCain lobbying for tougher drug penalties for baseball players.
Someone is said to be on the “juice” if you are taking any kinds of performance enhancing drugs.
Ben, does soccer, cricket or rugby have players that are accused of taking steroids?

No not performance enhancing drugs - recreational drugs yes - performance related drugs no, as every player can be subject to a random drug test after any match. It just aint worth it. A positive result and you could be out for life and your team docked points.

What would the asterix mean??????

Aterix simply denotes a special note. For example, when McGwire broke the single reason HR record held by Yankees Roger Maris, many wanted place astrix next to him since Maris did with fewer number of games in a season. Many are talking about placing astrix next to Bonds record to indicate that he broke it using steroids.
Unfortunately baseball never had a drug policy until now.

sports illustrated ran a projection a couple weeks ago that showed both bonds and pujols passing aaron, with alex rodriguez and ken griffey jr right behind, but still in the top 10 all-time.

bonds should have an asterisk if he does indeed pass aaron, and he should be banned from the hall for life, just like rose. if the hit-king doesnt get in for doing something illegal, why should the homer-king? im basing this on the fact that i believe bonds is STILL using banned substances. i dont think he believes selig has the balls to do anything to him, nor would he stop using if he thought selig would do something. bonds thinks hes above everyone else.

Bond always said that he wanted to break Aarons record since he has never won a world series title (and never would). On this day and age in baseball with designated hitter in AL, it is easy to extend one career past their prime (heck past their retirement).
I agree that he should be banned from the hall of fame. Anyone that believe that he had taken steroid is to look at his when he played for Pirates and now. Physical training can only get you so far.

Wow, Ben, so in football (soccer) they have random drug testing, you can lose the privelige of being a pro and it affects your team? Now that is getting serious on performance enhancing drug use. I'd like to see them give tough rules like that a go in US major league baseball. Because there a lot of juicers and it's awful bad for baseball. I wonder how hard the players' union would fight it?

Bonds should be shot.
Pujols will beak the record by the time he retires.
Dude, Griffey is 37(?) years old. He has like 3 years left and is hurt all the time. There's no way he coming close to the record. His days of hitting 45+ HRs in a year all long gone.
