How about this one...

(probably as good as the fisrst post but as I haven't slept that will be my excuse)

I was driving home last night, at about 10 o'clock on a main road ,doing between 50 and 60, and I noticed to my left above a field what appeared to be a model aeroplane with two coloured lights at either side, either blue and red or green and red (not sure why I don't know which). After thinking 'why would anybody be flying modelplane at that time of night' I looked again and noticed there were two of them. I looked a third time and they were now about 90 degrees from me but I could clearly make out that they were triangular and shaped like a 'boomerang', only with a sharper/more pointed angle, with the two lights at each end (I think the lights must have enabled me to make out their shape which i could see clearly)

The next thing I noticed was that that they were swerving and crossing eachother as though people were controling them by radio contol. I think they were about the length of a car in size and proportionally, as I say, like a boomerang and were approx 10-15 ft in the air. It wasn't until I had driven for a few minutes that I thought they might have been UFOs.... I wanted to turn around and go back but as it was a busy road with narrow lanes I wouldn't have been able to park.

I'm actually convinced they were model aircraft of some sort but how could they be shaped like that. Anyone offer any explanations?

If they were models. Then I would think you will see them again in the same place. Also the land owner will probably know if anyone was flying model aircraft that night.
If both of these fall short, then perhaps you saw something otherworldy.

thats better i can see your post its possible they were model aircraft they could also have been real ones what makes me think that is the red and green lights plus with you driving size and distance is hard to judge

Keep a watchful eye. They may come back.
