Wooo Hooo, we just joined the space race. I wanna be an astronaught when i grow up. Seriously though. This is very cool, Woomera is in the middle of nowhere, i know as i was stuck hitching near there (Pimba) for 3 days years ago. Got my bum kicked in the pub by a female officer from the US army. Wanna Game of 8 ball she said (in her best US accent) Little did i suspect how good she was, cost me $$$
This is a great thing for us Aussies, Woomera is on the way to Alice springs/Ayers Rock/NT Depending where you are. I am sure many of us will time our trips to the Red Centre to coincide with any upcoming launches. SHould be good, the weather is very consistant in that part of Australia. Not a cloud in the sky for 8 months of the year and hot as hell, at least it is at Alice Springs, so should be pretty good at Woomera as well. http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/NASA_chooses_W...ket_launch_site |
