Because NASA seems to be a trademark and all (You would think all their stock would be owned by us, the American People) I decided to not use any of NASAs soundbites in my project that I am working on. Not that Im selling it, just dont want any negative feedback. Plus listening to the CNN reporters chating while the space shuttle is in Flight, I've decided to use some royalty free shuttle sounds. Actually, the sound was made by a Roland Synth. I myself had the sound patch on an older roland I had. It's completly synthetic.

By adding some reverb and overlays in left and right channels, and a center with some base adjustment, I got it to sound pretty close to the real thing.

Though this is the CNN video of the space shuttle launch (Im restarting my model shuttle and adding a launch trail effect with smoke and steam) The orriginal audio has been removed and replaced with my audio file. I had to layer a portion of it to make the rumbling sound last longer. Its just a test, but Its about a 1 minute video. wmv format. Just right click if it doesnt stream and save the file and play it on Windows Media Player (May no work on Winamp).

if you own a mac, I can maybe upload a mpeg or try and make a mov file of it.

PS, I replaced my burned out amp with a 100 dollar RCA boombox. Though its not as loud, its still pretty loud and has great base. I need to rig up my other speakers now smile.gif

not too loud I hope. Not in the distorted sense I hope. It's hard for me to judge what it will sound like on other peopels systems. I really dont know much about audio.

I'm sure there is a guideline or table that shows what messurments should be used so that it sounds good on almost all systems.

Yeah, I wanted to get that really low base tone that I would think a rocket gives off. The kind that you can feel reverb off of your chest. Television mics seems to wash that out with crackling sounds. Though I know the crackling is probably normal as well.
