Has anyone here read any books or seen any movies about the paranormal that has changed their life? I can think of one and it is The Mothman Prophecies. When I watched the movie, I was amazed by the paranormal. I liked this movie so much, I read the book, and that also helped me get into the paranormal. It made me try to find out other "monster" sightings seen around the world. It helped get me interested in aliens and UFOs. So are there any books/movies that you have read that has made a change in your life? Any recommendations for others? This is a great way to find new things to read!

It's a fascinating tale full of symbolism - I don't think it changed my life but it certainly put a wee smile on my face.....

Close Encounters Of The Third Kind......

You all may laugh but it was that film that got me interested in UFOlogy....

I guess I should have mentioned I was five.

Alright...

"Moon Child" -Aleister Crowley (fiction)
"Dhalgren" -Samuel B. Delany

Everybody should read Dhalgren.

Disney's The Lion King (1994)

Yes, I'm serious too. It does after all carry several Shakespearian traits. Of course I was 8 when I first saw it and didn't reckognize or appreciate them as such, but it still changed my way of thinking. Also, it's a brilliantly made movie! wink.gif

I don't read books much, so I can't bring up anything that actually changed me. I guess I have too short attention sp-... oooo, look, a red truck!

world war z by max brooks. not life-changing, but definitely a great read. the series that changed my life was the dark tower series by stephen king. favorite book in the series was book 4, wizard and glass. everyone should check out this series, part spaghetti western, part heroic fantasy.

love,
the ghost
