I have in my possesion an old copy of a book:
The UFO Phenomenon by Johannes Von Butler, published in 1980.

It contains an odd tale:

" In a factory producing heavy armaments ( the exact time and date are kept secret) a mysterious explosion almost precipitated an international crisis, as the russians seemed inclined to put it down to sabotage by American agents. In fact, it was caused by several cigar and disc-shaped flying objects, which had been sighted a week earlier in the neighbourhood of the factory site.
Various witnesses described how they saw a fireball descend at daybreak, and this was then followed by a loud explosion, which was accompanied by ' Myriads of ahining small globes'. They lit up the whole area in the early morning light and a strong shock-wave was felt by observers. For a few minutes the whole site was covered in a cloud of dust and debris, when this had cleared, there was nothing left but a crater filled with rubble, where a few minutes previously had been a factory devoted to producing missile firing devices.
After the explosion a disc was seen to hover over the site for some time, as if it wanted to make sure that the job had been done. When a couple of fighter aircraft appeared, however, if flew off at high speed.
The biggest puzzle for all concerned was the fact that no one had been injured. The factory siren had gone off in warning in a few minutes before the explosion and all the workers had taken cover. In the insuing investigation, however, it turned out that no one had pressed the alarm button, the switch still in the off position."

I have no clue about its authenticity, so.........just read it. If you interested, then good, if not, then your not.

This old book has plenty of suprises....including a UFO firing a large heatwave at a Brazilian ( I think) military fort, causing second-degree burns on two sentries.
