I was just scanning the sky testing out a another camcorder i got. when i noticed a orb suddenly appear and then quickly vanish.. you can just barely make out a small trail is was making before it appeared. and when it vanished so did the trail.. play it in media player and slow the speed down.. i havent converted the vid propperly it is still showing some ghosting but it isnt to bad.. i think it needs deinterlacing..

Ok thanks

http://www.myfilehut.com/userfiles/210434/Orb-with-trail.mpg

And the link better work.. this hosting site is rubbish. the vid
is only about 6mb though and in mpg..

thanks...its ashame though cause i wasnt even zoomed right in..
was just checking out the auto focus on my camera. and i wasnt even sure what i see.
thought it was a plane at first. but it went so quick.. and just couldnt see anything
there..it wasnt until i played it back on the computer and see it much clearer that i
noticed it was no plane... you can just barely see a trail coming along before it
appears.. that must have been some speed.. and then to slow right down. and its like
as i moved the camera to get it more in the middle it decided to vanish.. i did also
notice another object come and go so fast a little while before that..

i can still see the video is showing a ghostly double vision.. i need to get it in virtual
dub to fix that.. but the program doesnt want to load the mpg file.. says no frames found..
strange... o well more figureing out to do..

interesting. thanks for sharing! dunno how you are capturing the video from your camera to the pc, but an uncompressed .avi file is alot easier to anaylize. so buzzz if ya can do that it would help buddy smile.gif if not dont worry about it, keep watching the sky! smile.gif

That was no glare coming off a cessna.. it was clearly a ball shaped object moving along..

i havent seen a glare like that before .. and ive never seen a bubble
shaped cessna before.. i suppose you was flying it too biggrin.gif:

Thanks High... Ive got a dvd camcorder so i can only use mpg.. my other
one was a mini Dv but i took it back cause it kept bending the pins up on
the firewire lead.. plus i was also having probs with the avi's aswell "which
ive figured that out now" so i got the dvd one instead thinking it would be
better.. but it isnt.. mpg's are more of a pain and i got no software with it
and they dont even tell you how ya sposed to pull stuff off onto the pc with it.. so im just reading and trying diferent things.. so now i wished i had my
Mini Dv back.. the quality was better also..

anyway i still like to know how to do it properly..

ok thanks.. and i will.. always am smile.gif

But...but...Everything You Do Is A Balloon.

I just see a non-descript white dot. By the way, I don't know about anyone else, but I keep running into crap with that file sharing site you're using. Suggestion: Photobucket.

I doubt it's a Cessna. It looks like an airliner, because of the faint contrail. The sun may have set where you are, but if you were filming the Western sky, then objects in that direction can obviously be in sunglight. You can clearly see that those clouds glowing orange are lit by the sun. If a plane goes from a region of shadow (caused by cloud) to a region of sunlight and back into shadow again, then what appears in your video is what you would expect to see during such an occurence. You cannot infer that the object is ball-shaped because of its appearance in your video, it is clearly over-exposed and near-point-like. An overexposed plane at a distance we would expect to appear ball-shaped when filmed by a camcorder.

Nah that is just so unlikely of a possiblilty to happen.. and to get a perfect ball shape at the end of it. one that just so happens to have a trail that suddenly appears trailing along and stops and then suddenly
a ball of light appears and moves along and then as i move to center the camera then suddenly vanishes taking the trail with it.. so what happend to the trail.. did that just so only happen to show for that short time also..

Sorry but i think ive got more chances of seeing a ufo smile.gif

And come on why does that just so have to happen to me.. i mean balloons and now planes.. what could possibly be next biggrin.gif:

Nah that is just so unlikely of a possiblilty to happen.

Only because you want so desperately to believe that it was something unexplainable.
and to get a perfect ball shape at the end of it. one that just so happens to have a trail that suddenly appears trailing along and stops and then suddenly

This is not an unlikely occurence with what I told you. If an intensely bright object which is too small or too far away for any camcorder to resolve any detail is seen, then what shape would we expect such an object to appear as in video footage? Contrails can be shortlived.
Sorry but i think ive got more chances of seeing a ufo

It would be nice if you could demonstrate that with more than bluster.

And come on why does that just so have to happen to me.. i mean balloons and now planes.. what could possibly be next biggrin.gif:

It appears that cases in which something remarkable and unexplainable is witnessed in the sky are once-in-a-lifetime events. That you 'keep' seeing things is further evidence that you are reading the unexplainable into what other people know are mundane events.
