The Orlando area is absolutely nuts right now. Murders have jumped to 60+ for 2006, and the violent crime rate is thru the roof.

I guess I shouldn't complain about my area since It seems to be worst in other parts of the US. Still.. gone are the safer days of the 70s and early 80s. Unless you lived in a really bad inner city area, You almost never saw murders. And those that did happen were usually family related.

Im extremely safe, but no one in this city has guns and Ive never seen a pit bull.. women walk home at 1am on the streets, children play in the streets, and neighbors walk into each others homes and say greetings.. welcome to Tokyo.

Hmmm 250,000 people in my town, Only about 10-25 murders last year.
but nearing around 16 Suicides in the local park alone.

Rapes the thing you have to watch for here, not murder.

awww Tokyo sounds like such a cool place to live Vet.

The people in Florida need to learn how to drive better because there is so much car wrecks down by Ocala that it makes the army in Star Wars attack of the clones look like an ameba.LOL!

When you've got snowbirds, tourists (foriegn & domestic), and 100's of thousands of immigrants (illegal & otherwise) in the area, expect plenty of wrecks.
