This is one of the best UFO pictures I've seen in recent years:

Hope that this AWOL soldier turns up some more photographs.

Hmmm... the 'ufo' is sharper in appearance than the the overhead lines underneath. I'd say someone tossed a metal lid like a frisbee and took a quick picture.

If real could be one of the USAF Top Secret aircraft that has been reported by Iraqis.

I agree. Why would the object be in focus and not the scenery if, as stated,
the soldier didn't notice the object at the time of photography?

The UFO does not match the rest of the picture, and like you said it's sharper then the rest... And why would that happen? hehe :smokin:

I am sure that this sort of thing adds up to "the boy that cried 'wolf'". It is a fake that hurts the reputation of the real stuff.

Lol, I think it is a silver frisbee. Believe it or not. lol.

I refer you to a post of mine under a thread of what is not a UFO. "I myself have a small list of things to lookout for: Weather balloons, swamp gas, weather aberrations, silver frisbees, well done CG work and cynical government cover ups. biggrin.gif" -ScottMan.

Thus this is not a UFO.

The object was definitely added afterwards. I copied it to Paint Shop Pro and it looks like there's a slight color difference between the sky and the outline of the object.

Besides, wouldn't the birds on the wires be in focus if this object was truly there?

I haven't done any analysis of the pic as I'm really pushed for time but I will say this - if the 'saucer' is genuinely an integral part of the picture then it is very small and IN FRONT of the telephone wires.....the field of depth for the focus has been set to 'near' which is why the dirt mounds appear in focus and yet the bird on the wire etc is blurred - look at the bottle in the botom right of the picture lying in the gutter - it's from roughly that point that the camera has had the field of depth optimised for - in effect it was focussing sharply on everything from that bottle back to the Soccer goalposts and telephone wires - implication being that the 'disc' is in that range - it's up close - not distant. It's a crock of shit.....again.....

I'm no expert but it appears to me that the sun is hitting the saucer from the upper left side of the photo. Most of the rest of the shaded or shadow areas in the photo would seem to indicate the sunlight was coming in from the upper right. There also seems to be a more distinct edge around the disc than around the other solid objects in the photo. I know digital compression will cause these artifacts, but the edge around the disc seems more distinct than in other areas of the pic. Bottom line, I think this has been photoshopped.

I don't think it even had to be photoshopped. I think someone THREW it, and a photo was snapped.

I think we can all stop wondering right after the part about "he didn't notice it when he was taking the photo". It's absolutely absurd to think that UFOs are flitting about our skies, anxiously waiting to jump into the corner of any old boring photo our ape-like minds are tempted to take.

Somehow, I don't think the intergalactic doctrine for revealing oneself to another species would involve waiting until the last second to jump in front of camera for 1/60th of a second.
