Does anyone know if multiple abductions can affect your memory permanently? I ask because lately my memory hasn't been very good. I can remember that something happened, but if I try to focus on one event in particular it sort of just disolves like water in my hand,so all I'm left with is vague memories of events that I know happened but I can't exactly remember. Maybe I just have a bad memory and I'm trying to connect dots that aren't there.

Possibly yes since they have technology that makes it possible to forget that you were even there, only a vague memeory that you saw them or where onbaord thier spaceship (mind probing). I do hear that hyponosis has been used to help people recollect thier memeories of what they saw and what happned.

I've considered self hypnosis. Actually I've been practicing, with no luck.

I'd say that they can only affect the memory of the abduction itself, but who knows if the technology will screw around with other functions in your brain.

I don't think memories can be deleted the way files can be deleted on a computer. I think the memories are still there. It's just a matter of accessing them.

I don't know if hypnotic memory regression would work. Does it matter if you can't remember the exact dates of your experiences?

I don't know much about hypnosis. However, it don't think memories are date stamped. Your mind may make a mental note of a certain date and time but I don't think they are particularly necessary to recollection.

Have you talked to your parents about your experiences?

I think you should before considering hypnosis. If you and your parents decide to pursue that avenue make sure the person is a licensed mental health professional.

Whenever I try to talk to them about it they say "You're dreaming" or "It was your imagination",etc.

I have been told that the use certain equipment on special people who they can wipe their memories with psychic powers. I have the same feeling that something happened sometimes but I have had one experience where I was able to remember the device and the memory wiping experience but I don't know why. The mind is an extremely complicated organ. Like some people have been saying, hypnosis can be an excellent way of uncovering hidden or forgotten memories. Could the aliens be harming you on accident by numerous abductions? I highly doubt it. With their technology which we cannot even begin to comprehend, they are just not capable of accidently doing your brain harm. If you have missing memories, they hid them from you purposefully. That is my opinion.

"Even when we know we'll never find the answers, we have to keep on asking the questions."
"We came here to learn. We're not that different from you, but what you call evolution has changed us. We see things in you that we no longer recognize in ourselves. The whole concept of right and wrong was...alien to us. Your emotional core, your strength, your feeling, and our more evolved consciousness. Could we bring these two together? If we could do this, we would have the next step in the evolution of life."

My memories have been coming back of late. I had trouble remembering even the simplest of "events" when I was younger. Some people remember things even when they are supposed to forget. Some people remember things in their late twenties. Some people like me remember things in their late thirties. Some people never remember. I have never been through a hypnotic regression. My memories have not been tampered with by psychiatrists.

In answer to your question; no, they don't affect your memories permanently.

From what I've heard memory blocks break down after a while- about a dozen years or so later, but even then you might not remember everything- just blurry images. I have one of those that I feel like had to do with aliens, but I can remember so little of it I really can't say.

Stress can cause loss of memory. Make sure you are getting enough rest, eating right (increase the fish oil) and do something physical, jog, walk or basketball or even batting a tennis ball against a brick wall (great for focus). B.
