Hey guys,

I had a cool experience back in January that I am still baffled about. Since then I've been trying to recreate the event, without much success... but here's the story.

Sight beyond sight.

Sunday morning I woke up with magical eyes. Saturday night I fell asleep as usual. I was a little drunk from an evening of festivities. I had a very intense dream that I was a wizard learning my powers. At the end of the dream I was defending a doorway from other evil wizards, I was trying to hold them from coming into my room. Then I woke up from my dream and looked around, but instead of the room being very dark, I could see really well. In fact I could see what looked like black symbols on the wall in front of my bed. I blinked, looked around a bit, and my super-vision stayed. When I had the supersight, it was a lot like an olive colored low-light camera's vision. The symbols I saw on the wall were a series of dark vertical and horizontal stripes, though I couldn't read anything from where i was lying. My mind seemed very ultra clear, calm, my usual headaches were gone, and my vision was focused even though I didn't have my glasses on. I think my experience lasted about a minute. I was just about ready to stand up and walk over to the wall when, like a black blanket, my normal crappy human vision floated over me again. I kept thinking, wow.. i had 'sight beyond sight'.. It was just what I imagined 'low light' vision to be, or 'magical vision'. Pretty bizarre, i couldn't get it to come back since then.

Any help with reattaining this event would rock. I would really like to know what was written on my wall and what other curious things I might find with my lucid-sight. What do you think happened? I mean, I have had situations before where I wake up and instead of seeing a dresser, I see a man.. Or when a pile of clothes looks like an animal.. This really seemed different, but I am not discounting the possibility that my dreamstate was somehow superimposed over my reality.:headscrat

How much did you have to drink?
Seriously sounds like a surreal experience, and you remembered a lot of detail. What you said last does sound interesting, (dreamstate superimposed over reality) I havnt heard of that happening before though. Is this the first time youve had anything like this happen?

I had about 4 drinks throughout the night and some Excedrin before bedtime cause of a headache.

Yes, I had an experience several years before this one involving a 'vision' which appeared on the ceiling of my bedroom. I'm pretty sure it happened right before I was drifting off to sleep. It was a rectangular image of trees overhanging a river during dusk or nightfall, where I'm guessing my perspective was from floating down the river. It appeared above my bed, I was lying on my back. There was a white flash of light behind the trees. I remember being able to see the stars in the sky (even though I wasn't wearing my glasses). The vision lasted about 1 minute and then I watched it fade away into my ceiling again. I remember the rectangular image had rounded edges, for whatever that's worth.

I wasn't scared during either of these experiences. More curious and observational, than anything.

I've been experimenting with my consciousness in sleep like states because im trying to have an obe and i have had a similar experience to yours. Read about out of body experiences there are books that tell you how to do it. Trust me some amazing things can happen.

I came close to having a successful OBE the other night. Back to the topic, I've had this experience as well.. I was in a some sort of sleep state and although the room was dark I could see the walls and barriers around me. It's your third eye smile.gif It's an amazing experience.

That is probably what has happened.

When I was young There were times when I would still be seeing dream things even after I was dressed and eating breakfast once!

That morning I recall seeing a large stack of coins on the table next to the centerpiece. I reached for them, but my hand went through them at the same time they vanished. I was still in a dream state apparently.

I think there is something to this subject, but lack enough data to say much. I also have no doubt some accounts could be subconsciously created or something of the sort. Until I see a person that can clearly tell the difference, I am prone to just enjoy the account and form no opinion.
