I created this thread on another forum (so many of you might have seen it already=) however, I believe it's a very interesting subject.
You've more than likely have seen most of these images through out your life, but when they are all put together in one place, it shows just how vast and ancient these creations are -and have seemingly been a part of our landscape. -------- People have been creating art for thousands of years -which looks very much like today's depictions of UFOs. I find that quite interesting. Do people nowadays create the art taken from these images? ![]() Said to be 14000 years old -from Australia ![]() From an Egyptian tomb ![]() Paintings from Val Camonica, Italy, c.10,000 BC, |

"The painting above was done by Carlo Crivelli (1430-1495) and is called "The Annunciation with Saint Emidius" (1486) and hangs in the National Gallery, London. A disk shaped object is shining a pencil beam of light down into Mary's crown chakra. A blow up of the object is next to the painting." |

![]() It's actually a two part of drawing..cool, huh? ![]() "UFO as if in pursuit - as he flies across the sky in what is clearly a space ship. The leading craft is decorated with two twinkling stars, one reminiscent of national insignia on modern aircraft. This paintng hangs above the altar at the Visoki Decani Monastary in Kosovo, Yugoslavia." |

Ancient Vimanas Aircraft
![]() We've all seen this one before -but wild how there is a helicopter, blimp, submarine and a glider all in one image. Many people believe this to be faked, however...I found a pic of where the glyph is located...in a temple which was built for Seti I, father of Ramses II, around 1350 BC. ![]() Personally the only criticism I could find about the glyph is that a few Egyptologist believe that the carvings happened when older glyphs had been carved over, resulting in odd and meaningless shapes to occur. Hmm... |

Wow,
When put together it creates quite a picture doesn't it. It is hard to see how ancient people could paint this stuff without some inspiration to copy from. The one that has always amazed me is the one you have titled UFO as if in pursuit. |

I'm not exactly convinced that we are visited by extraterrestrials, per say. Perhaps these images are something ingrained in our psyche before the breakdown of the bicameral mind state in our evolutionary process upon this planet. They could indeed be simple, yet constant symbolic archetypes...played out time and again.
Many cultures have used all sorts of Ethnobotanicals. During these rituals throughout time, people see something deep within their psyches. Drugs break down consciousness...and often create a lucid dreaming state. Perhaps this is a Universal phenomenon? *Not condoning any drug usage whatsoever. Do not take hallucinogenic drugs which can be extremely dangerous. Mmmmmkay? |

A lot of the images are really compelling, and if nothing else, I LOVE art and archaeology. Thanks for sharing

(DaniellaMontoya;335820) Here is an interesting video about that particular painting, Dundee. Call me simple but when i see that, to me it is more compelling than all the Roswell's and Rendlsham's put together. I find it hard to believe that that was just imagined. The painter has portrayed the noise etc. No politics, no government cover ups, no military, just a painting in a church.

The art work by themselves are impressive, but one must also think of the many other mysteries that has followed along in history, as well. |

The Madonna picture is a great one.
Thank you for sharing Jarod..=) In detail.. ![]() "This painting is called "The Madonna with Saint Giovannino". It was painted in the 15th century by Domenico Ghirlandaio (1449-1494) and hangs as part of the Loeser collection in the Palazzo Vecchio. Above Mary's right shoulder is a disk shaped object. Below is a blow up of this section and a man and his dog can clearly be seen looking up at the object." |

Wow, some of this stuff is quite fascinating... just goes to show you how far back us Believers go.

It is interesting how often these images are depicted in religious artwork.
![]() "The picture above depicts Jesus and Mary on what appear to be lenticular clouds. The painting is entitled "The Miracle of the Snow" and was painted by Masolino Da Panicale (1383-1440) and hangs at the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, Florence, Italy." |
