> Where did we learn blood sacrifice?

I was looking at some photo's in another thread when the idea hit me. The photo almost looked like an Egyptian sacrificing a chicken or some other sort of animal and offering it to an alien creature. This made my wheels spin for a moment. Now please do not mistake this for anything other than theory, I do not want to have this blow up into a massive thread of crap.

We know that there have been animals found in areas of the world with their blood completely drained without a drop left, this has stumped many of a mind and no one has offered a real resolution as to how this has happened or why. Vampires or some other sort of man made device has been ruled out as far as I know. Now, if in fact aliens are doing this to our cattle or other animals, was this witnessed by ancient people only to be turned into what they used as an offering to appease the aliens? (Gods from the sky in those times)

I know this is far fetched but how far is it exactly? If they seen the aliens taking blood from sheep or cattle, then they must have assumed it was what they wanted from them so they offered it freely and from that point took it as a regular thing and made it part of their ritual to the Gods.

Ok, now please do not think I am crazy because I am perfectly sane (as far as I know) it was just an idea that hit me and I was wondering whom else may share in my theory.

**EDIT**

I found the image that sparked my thoughts.

i'd say it probably goes back a bit further than that.

we may have "learned" it from the realization that the menstrual cycle is relative to the birth cycle. perhaps some mystic connection was made. for life blood must be spilled. always been that way, still is. not a single child is born without some sort of suffering. pretty simple equation... even for a bunch of shaved apes.

blood sacrifice is probably older than Egyptian dirt.

I heard or read somewhere they thought the blood had magical tendencies. At first they used animlas then progressed to people. I believe I saw that on the national Geography channel. Kinda like the woman who Dracula was based on , believed the blood of virgins would keep her young and beautiful. She killed over 600 virgins before she was stopped. And the only reason she stopped was because she ran out of peasants and turned to the upper class. And then , and only then , did they close her up in her castle to live out her life. Back then they didnt proscute people of a higher class. But her servants who helped her kill these women were put to death. Kinda like like today huh?

i heard that the sacred nectar that ancient religion of greece or other places talk about, the one called ambrosia is actually menstral blood. It contains the pure feminine energy or something. Which would explain why the "gods" (or aliens) drank it because it gave them some kind of power.

If anything it's most probably an Egyptian god, not an Alien, mind you i surpose the god's could have been alien, but thats way to Stargate to go into....wink.gif

But as Aba says sacrifice probably pre-dates the egyptians....smile.gif

Thank you!

I am open to listen to all on this subject and what has been presented so far makes alot fo since, I am just sure about dropping my theory as of yet. I will attempt to research a bit more to come up with maybe some sort of evidence or to find out if others share in my theory. Thanks for all who has posted and not calling me a nut. smile.gif

Obvious theories aside, concerning animal blood and aliens, I do not see why such an obviously advanced race would want animal blood.

Choices are:
1. food (unlikely)
2. DNA (probably the most likely)
3. religion/ superstition (unlikely)

This is a very good question in and of it's own. I had not asked myself that question yet when deriving this theory as it was just that.. a theory but this question could spark a whole new line of research for answering both questions. :alien:

We should compile a "What if your abuducted question sheet" to ask the aliens if you get abducted. Have these two questions on it along with several other key questions. :abduct:

:rofl3: - Just kidding of coarse..

But when did we learn that?
The old Norwegian word for menstrual cycle is "vanasótt kvenna" Witch translates to "Common female disease"
We know that the accedence of the menstrual cycle has changed, it was most likley higher before. For the married women it was common that pregnancy, birth and breast feeding went in a "loop". And the girls where married away at 14-15 years old.
So atleast here in Norway, it was not so common to have your "perioud"

Blood carries DNA and is important for our life hear on earth anyway. Of corse it is a part of the food chain (not a comfortable thought).

errg?

well, it could be that humans were told to sacrifice themselves to some bloodthirsty alien god. or, it could be that, ripping each others hearts out willingly for the sake of appeasing the gods is just the only way that they could get their attention.lol

kind of like, "if you dont make it rain im gonna rip this guys heart out! and he'll let me!" then you see a few chemtrails, and WAAALAAAH! RAIN!
