I have said that the matrix trilogy has a hidden message. I also believe that V for Vendetta Carries a similar message. What movies do you all think have messages such as these? Especially ones on the mainstream.

MD....I agree some movies do have hidden messages.....my son has been telling me the Toy Story movies have hidden messages. |

Back in the 50s and 60s individual frames in movies were inserted at drive in theaters particularly that said things like "buy popcorn". Although no studies ever showed conclusively that they worked the idea was made illegal.
Curious MD as to what you think the hidden message is in Matrix? |

If that is what you meant, you can also see similarities to the Buddhist's view of the world as well. Although I can hardly draw a comparison between Bodhi and living with the tubes connected to the bod. |

your right but i would say that most people will not pay attention to that but instead to the action scenes at least from what i've observed. |

the messages aren't so buried these days. they're pretty much right there in the open.
it is the tendency of the artist to provide social commentary. some see it as a duty. seems that most stories have a moral lesson. messages also come in the form of not-so subtle product ad placement. |

I think Mandela meant by "hidden" that the message was disguised as fiction, and not promoted as reality.

The movie :SIGNS, has less to do about aliens, its about beliefs, your perceptions.
