Does any one here play PS3 games? If so what are your favourite titles, and what are your thoughts on the system and the games available.

I have been playing WarHawk and Resistance fall of man mostly (I play them to wind down from studying), and I haven't even begun to use half of the systems media capabilities yet. :xmassmile

Greetings fellow PS3er..... yeah i think they are excellent, the Games i have at the minute are ''Call of Duty 4''....''Ratchet and Clank(tools of destruction)'' ''Colin Mcrae Dirt''....and ''Resistance fall of man'' i also have ''Haze'' preordered....sweet

Blu Ray films are awsome on my HDTV.. absolutly stunning Picture and sound....

We do not have HDTV yet (Waiting to get X-mas out of the way first), but the graphics are still awesome, I would recommend WarHawk, and "The Darkness" I do play the game ''Resistance fall of man'' and finished the last level, but I get slaughtered when I it play on-line, my lad has 'Colin Mcrae Dirt'' on the 360 and says it is one of the best games he had ever played, I have put Call of Duty 4 on my x-mas list, and I am looking forward to the GTA4 release next spring. :bluesbros :xmascheer

I bought Call fo Duty4 recently and have played it a bit.. pretty cool. Also got Rainbow 6 Las Vegas, but havent played. Played Resistance about this time last year when it first came out.. my friend got addicted and was over all the time.

I forget the name but the WWII fighter game is alright..

Oh mate your going to be blown away when you get an HDTV and hook your PS3 via HDMI....

I play online quite a bit with COD4, but have to pace myself or i can't leave it alone....:laugh:



That WW2 one wouldn't be COD3 would it thats an awsome game.....

I like the look of Rainbow six, I was looking at the trailer the other night.... http://rainbowsixgame.uk.ubi.com/ I think I will be pushing my luck asking the missus for this one too....But you never know she might love me enough to get me it :cry: I can't wait to see the difference with HDTV, I play WarHark a most nights when everyone is in bed, but I too have had to time myself, as I was finding I was still playing when everyone woke the next morning, I don't know what us gamers will turn into if they ever bring out the VR headsets, if I do get COD4 for X-Mass I will keep a look out for you, my handle for PSN is "ALIEN STARDUST". :cool:

I'll reserve my judegements about the PS3 as a system and all other things because you people obviously don't want to hear it.

Games:
I'm petrified, I've been looking at trailers for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for about a year now and it's making me seriously consider buying a PS3.
Also Resistance fall of man looks like it has an interesting plot.
I'm still happy with my PS2 and Xbox 360 though

PS3 is an awsome piece of kit but it will take most of 2008 before it really get going mind you the games are now starting to come....

Mind you i had a 360 really great fun till it broke....

Hey Somedude feel free to express your opinion and judgement about the PS3 or its games, I only got the PS3 in October (and WarHawk was to be a X-mass prezzie), one of the reasons I did not go for the 360 was because I cannot use the controllers due to my osteoarthritis, and the PS3 joy stick is the same set up as the PS2 (plus you can still play most PS2 games on the new system), Resistance fall of man is an excellent game as is The Darkness, and as Fen Star says 2008 will see the PS3 get going with the new titles which will hopefully utilise all of the Vast power of the system. :xmascheer

Had a few hours a couple days ago and started playing COD4 for the first time more than just messing around with it.

WOW. Really cool. In one scenario you are the gunner on an AC-130.. and the chatter, the screen, everything is just so real.

And there are little extra bits in it that just add "atmosphere". There is a scene where you die, (you have no choice in the matter)..but you can move your guy around a bit while dying.. you dont even realize whats going on..and that is EXACTLY the point.

Some of the scenarios are familiar.. taken straight from "Blackhawk Down" for example, but.. again..WOW. just..wow.

Yeah Single player is one of the best i have played....Online rocks though can't leave the bloody thing alone....:laugh:
