January 11, 2008 Manitoba, Canada - Canadian UFO researchers say that the number of unexplained aerial lights and craft reports in that country exceeded 650 in 2007. Of those cases, one of the strangest occurred on Boxing Day (Christmas boxes for employees and the poor), December 26, 2007. The time was 5:30 PM at dusk. Strange.
If this really was a jet dropping fuel, then there should be film footage of that somewhere. Also, there should be able to verify that there was a jet flying in that direction at that time.

I would say the corkscrew effect is a cause by aircraft engine turbulance

I think they would had considered that.

It appears to be a cloud seeded by an aeroplane contrail. It appears to be shot in the evening twilight just after sunset and is dark no doubt because it is within the earth's shadow, whereas the sky behind is illuminated by the sun. I have seen these effects many times on contrails--both the shape and the darkening in the western sky after sunset.


I do not think that it is reasonable to presume that they took much time to investigate it, nor even that it was passed to people with relevant expertise before the response came back that they could not identify it.

Looks like a contrail getting hit by crosswinds to me......the most deformation of the contrail is occurring in the oldest section.......IMHO
