Hi I've been browsing the internet for some UFO pictures, and I like this one in particular, which I have found on a random website

I would like some thoughts and opinions on whether you think its real or not.

TSD.....one can get an idea about the size.....but it is still rather blurry and hard to see much in the way of detail.....if my memory serves....that is a fairly old....(and famous) pics.....I can't remember what I read about it at the time.

It is likely to be a real object in the picture. However, that doesn't mean that it is not a frisbee-type model thrown infront of a camera, a common method of hoaxing flying saucer pictures which has been used for many decades. I once borrowed a book from my school library which was written in the sixties or seventies that gave instructions on many methods of faking UFO pictures in the days before digital photography and digital photo manipulation. I cannot remember the title.

Okay. I'm game. Nice pic. Bit dark. Bit grainy. I like the fact that there are trees to give scale and distance, and it's not just a 'thing' against a blue backdrop.

Light on top, dark underneath, like I would expect.

Curious though: I see a cloudy, even stormy sky, but the top of the object is brightly illuminated. Treetops aren't illuminated. Hmmmm.

Lets say the clouds are in back, sun is to the left, out of the picture, shining through a break in the clouds: I'd expect either the treetops to be more illuminated or else the top of the UFO to be less illuminated. Odd.

I like the little black dot following the UFO. Nice touch.

Fake? Real? Who knows? Nice pic, but I have a few questions on the lighting, is all.

id say the sun is over somewhere on the right side and thats why the trees and
objects are so dark cause your seeing the shaded side..

It says here that this photo was taken some time in the 40's

now was the object tilting specially for a pose infront of the camera or
was the object thrown up a bit wobbly smile.gif its impossible to say really
and theres no way of telling how big the objects are..

No.
It is older than that.
Meier's pictures were from the seventies, I believe.
This one looks like it may have been from a set taken in Spain in the early sixties to 50s.
I recall a set of 3 or 4 pictures taken and this looks very similar to one of them.
I'll have to dig and see if I can find them.
