It was taken of a young girl n the late 60s early 70s the girls father took the pc beside a power station and when the pictures came back behind the girl was a figure wearing what i would describe as a welders mask the pic was analysed and as far as i remeber they couldnt penetrate behind the mask to see who or what it was p.s. please please please if anyone is going to show this pic will they post a warning sign for me as i dont kow what it is im 48 years old and this pic still really scares me :blush2: :blush2: :blush2:

I know the one you mean, i wouldn't worry too much about it, there is no way after all these years that you can verify its authenticity. I am pretty sure that it is already here on the forum somewhere, perhaps one of the forum elders can remember where.
But i wouldn't worry too much.

I recall a picture taken with a little girl seated on a meadow and behind her a ways is a figure standing wearing what looks like a space suit.
The father that took the picture, swore up & down that he never saw anyone before taking the picture.
I have books and magazines with copies of it somewhere.
I am sure it must be on the net somewhere.
Perhaps here in an old thread.

Drifter thats exactlly the case im talking about i could probably find a pic on the net but as i've said i have no idea why but it really makes me very very uneasy when i've looked at it, it was featured on the front cover of UFO magazine u.k. edition in the early 90s theres an indepth feature and analasiys of the pic but no conclusion was ever reached as to who or what it was

looks to me like its facing away from them as the arm seems bent the wrong way to be looking at them

No problem Fran just its haunted me for so long ( about 40 years ) they used loads of photographic technology to see what was behind the visor but nothing showed up

Id go with the childs toy too mate, if you saw a real person in a suit behind i think you would see it looks more like a toy. It looks to be facing the wrong way with its head turned. I reckon a toy for sure, besides the perspective is all wrong. UNless it is about 20 feet tall that is. Look at the size, its legs and feet should be back at the horizon line, which would make it kinda big i think.

But look at the focus.
It is out of focus like the background. Consistant with distance.
I am sorry. But I gone over this photo too many times to count over the years, and I never went along with the toy theory.
Remember a camera can sometimes catch things, we can not see.
It would be interesting to find out, if they had any UFO reports in the area, at about that time.

To me, it looks like the person is not that far behind the little girl, which would make him small as well. GI Joe? Ken?

Now, one straight arm, one bent arm: hmmm, makes me think action figure. However, look at the shadow under the shoulder blade. I don't recall any action figures that had such well-defined shoulder blades.

Oh, interesting: look at the light and shadows on the girl and the light and shadows on the 'man': the light source is the same. However, how did they hold it up? The proportions of the body tell me that the legs aren't long enough to be tucked into her collar. There's no room to hide someone behind her, yet the man looks to be in the same light she is. Therefore, I don't think it's superimposed. It COULD be a double exposure: camera in exactly the same position, two photos on the same frame ... except the guy would STILL be floating in the air. I still don't think he's all that far away.

Notice the line on his back, below and to the left of the head ... a kind of diagonal line ... hood?

It's a weird pic. I'm about 60% in favor of it being a doll, but ... I could be wrong.
