This is a fun report I got. I picked out parts for consideration and divided them into sections. It should also be noted this guy got overly wordy so I broke it up:
Forcefields and barriers "It uses ultraviolet light out of what appears to be a very intense florescent tube. The light is then past across a space like a door way and forms a solid barrier.... It is just a very intense thin sheet of ultraviolet light... Any air particles or contact makes the sheet glow at the point of contact while it also stops the object with what is an amazing amount of force... At this time I do not know if a catalyst is used to get the ultraviolet light to do this." "The outer skin of the craft is not what was expected. It is strong yet thin. I am amazed at both it's strength and that it is thin enough to cut. Something approaching paper thin. ... It seems to be a composite of magnesium and a sulfate... in a layered... making a sandwich with magnesium on the outside...." "Possibly as protection, a heavy magnetic system exists under the hull, it surrounds the craft. It is our guess that it serves to protect the craft by projecting strong magnetic waves pushing away anything that gets withing range...." Hand held weapons "Able to be held just like a gun.... It uses something like a laser to provide a rang of electromagnetic wavelengths... a chamber to collect and condense the trapped light. It would appear the destructive potential is in the condensed volume of electromagnetic.... On impact it hits with surprising force. Lower settings produce a burning,... higher levels impact like a high caliber bullet. ...from what seems to be condensed light alone... estimated one foot in length (the bar of light used as a projectile).... It also produces a kickback and loud explosive sound similar to a standard gun." "...kept with eating utensils.... it looks surprisingly just like a small lightsaber when active... From what we can tell, it is used like a common steak knife while eating... it has obvious applications as a weapon." "...larger and looks as if it was meant to be strapped to the wrist... A large opening at the front. The highly condensed sound waves even produce a visible discrepancy when the device it fired... one test the device was tested on sand... and caused the sand to react with small but explosive results... On the test subject, (an animal) it produced extreme pain and immediate discoloration... the subject died in moments." "... as a grenade like weapon. It even has a pin that needs to be pulled to set off the weapon.... Caused a very loud concussion... no harmful projectiles... it seems to get all of it's destructive force from the shockwave created. The wave is a standard explosive effect but with out heat or other assisted damage. ...has more than enough force to kill a person at close range... at greater distances it's primary function would seem to be that it can though people up to an estimated 20-40 feet. Our estimates are that it is used to disrupt and temporarily incapacitate anyone in the area." That is all for now. This stuff is clearly Sci-Fi, but stuff you may not run into else where. One of the key notables was how common things like light and sound could be "condensed" into applications one may never think possible. Please take this as nothing more then an a what if sort of Sci-Fi gadgetry. A sort of extreme application of things you would not readily think to use them for and ways you may never thought possible. |

that bit about the hand held weapon just reminded me of AVP requiem where the predator drops his weapon and the human just picks it up and uses it staight away even with the glyphs to figure out LOL

Where did you get it? I could use some of this stuff in some writings for how some stuff in my stories work. And it's cool. I love fictional technical manuals like this.
