I got a 30 gig video ipod for x-mas (woot) but i hate the synchronization thing, i hate Itunes, i can't get videos on it because once i do there is no sound, and it took me an hour to figure out how to get music on it and i don't even know how to get music on it now!

so anyway, on to the issues that i need help with

how do i get music on the frickin' thing?

are there any programs or something that can let me put music or videos on it in a flash drive style sort of way?

how do i make the videos work right?

and if i must use synchronization how do i set it up so it works?

i got like 6 cd's i need to get on there so yeah i need some help lol

thanks, guys

Sorry, no help on the ipod, but if I could offer a suggestion: you might get more valuable help from an ipod forum.

Yeah i would think so, but i love this forum because the people are much more polite than all the other forums i've gone to in the past (excluding ipod ones i haven't visited those yet)

Seanzee, Wow. I'm really sorry to hear that. That's sad.

I hope someone here will be able to help you with that ipod problem.

If not, have you tried:
http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/

If you go down to hardware, there's a forum for ipods and iphones. This forum helped me before with some mac questions. They seemed pretty decent.

For videos try using this free program to convert them to iPod format (m4v)

Videora

Once you've converted your videos, drag them to your Video folder in iTunes and then drag them onto the iPod icon from there when it's connected. They will end up in the basic "videos" folder, even if they are "music videos".

By default, when you install iTunes, it creates an iTunes music folder in "My Music" in your my docs folder (windows). When you buy or rip music, it ends up here. You can add other folders that contain music by going to "File", "add Folder" and then navigating to where you've kept your music. This should populate your Library.

Try this and post up the results.
