I just watched "Children of Men" a couple of weeks ago. It's kinda sci-fi, but really brutal like a horror movie, also.
"The Island" was pretty good, too. |

(kellyb;349557) I just watched "Children of Men" a couple of weeks ago. It's kinda sci-fi, but really brutal like a horror movie, also.
"The Island" was pretty good, too. "Children of Men" is a good film not far of how the England is now...
As for good Sci-fi movies there are just too many to list... but recently i would have to say ''Cloverfield'' is pretty good.... -------------------- Nathanial "a_skeptic" Meade 1979-2007 RIP |

(Mr. E;349702) Don't forget the original Star Wars films! (Episodes 4-6)
2010: The Year We Make Contact (Sequel to 2001, A Space Oddessy) Jurassic Park The Time Machine The First Men in the Moon The War of the Worlds Star Trek the Motion Picture Star Wars Episodes 4-6 and Stargate. More excellent choices Mr E... as i said earlier i think we would be here for a very long time if we listed all the great and the goo Sci-fi movies....
I also like like the old ones aswell like... ''The Day the Earth Stood Still''... ''Invaders from Mars''..... ''It Came From Outer Space''..... -------------------- Nathanial "a_skeptic" Meade 1979-2007 RIP |

My sci-fi favorite:
Alien Aliens Max Headroom (one reviewer has said that what's going on in the background is better than the plot of some movies: very cult-film) Brainstorm Serenity Galaxy Quest (My brother says "It's the best Star Trek movie I've seen!") V (the original miniseries ... V The Final Battle was OK too) Nemesis Stargate Terminator Series (I even liked #3, but I'm apparently the only one) Evolution 12 Monkeys The Matrix The 5th Element (some of these are cheesy, but I like cheesy movies). The Best: Bladerunner. Get the director's cut without Harrison Ford's voiceover. Very film-noire. -------------------- I'm trying not to be a drama queen today.

How did I forget "The Day the Earth Stood Still"? I love that movie!
Oh, and "Mars Attacks" looks good. The Fifth Element is also good. |

I like the old ones like The Day the Earth Stood Still.
Although they don't compare for special effects and so on, i just don't think the new ones capture the same feeling of...awe or wonder? that the old ones do. |
