There's been tons upon tons of theories on here, but what do YOU personally believe will destroy us all? It doesn't even have to be evidence-based, just a personal idea on it all.


I guess I've been a bit brain-washed by many of today's movies, for I can see us being wiped out by a violence, destructive disease. I feel that movies such as I Am Legend and 28 Days Later cover it pretty well. With all of the diseases getting spread and creating among us, I see us developing a higher level of rabies that will somehow (God only knows how) infect a good percentage of us, and, as a result, will have us kill off everyone else in good time. The book (and soon upcoming movie) Cell by Stephen King also showed a violent reaction/reformation spread through our ever-growing technology...

Something to look forward to, eh?

Yeah I read Cell!, Pretty scary if that happened, specially near the beginning with the plane and people jumping of buildings. ('Course I don't like my phone, so I'm pretty safe)

I think the next world war will be the end of a lot of us. I don't think the entire species is going to be wiped out ever, but thanks to new technology World War III is going to be a big one.

True, I doubt every single person could be killed off, but what would be left would, I doubt, be all that great... I'm sure it would take ages to rebuild.

But yes, both technology and our unsafe, disease-spreading habits are, in my opinion, the most likely to undo us.

The yuppies will cause the end of the world, they will cause so much trouble with there whining that eventually, combined with excessive political correctness that they all cause us to endure, it ultimately will cause all our brains to freeze solid with indecision for fear of upsetting someone. The end will come when we all starve to death right where we stand, frozen on the spot with confusion. It will strike quickly across the world. No one will survive, because once all the normal people starve and die, the yuppies will starve and die because they will realize the hard way that milk doesn't come from the lunch room fridge and meat doesn't grow in those little plastic packets in the supermarket.

I still say that big Space Rock is coming.

I am new to this group ,so hi everyone ,I am sorry for written English .First and major one is enviromental disaster wcihich is afeccting everything on Earth , and predictions are nothing else like guessing,we aren't capable to predict correct weather in two weeks in front ,how come we can predict something wchich is affected by so many things,but if I know something about Nature if go against you have to pay a prise faster or later ,more we destroy more we will pay for it.Secondary:possiblity of nuclear conflict and major war .I study economy for a while and we are sitting on economic nuclear bomb,in best case scenario I would say should explod no further than in six ,seven years and this means huge poverty,unemployment in most advanced countries,later this means wars,crazy people in power,big increase in wood and energy prices,especially food will be affected in short period of time.Our possibilities of producing of food are going down by ecologic disaster and with huge amount people in new very fast growing economies food prices suppoustu skyricket in next 3-4 years,this next big problem for countries wchich are alredy poor,and intervencions of aliens if our actions would became danger for their own existence we can be destroy by them(in safe way for them),I think good amount of us have chance to survive ,but we must change the way we looking money and materialistic things (this is a reson for all major problems of today word,we have to "to be" above "comfort"

according to my opinion we will perish cause:
a meteorite
the terrestrial overheating
the move of the terrestrial axle
the atomic bomb
the third world war
earth will be swallowed by the sun
the birth of a new planet
we will be submerged by the waters of the seas

WE have the way to change meteorit traectory,this one we can overcame,majority of others to some degree either but we in position we will pay a price for our dissrepectfull actions agains Laws of Nature .Question is how big this events will be,and is good time to became thinking about Earth like one and about one race(human beings) and this what connects us not splits,Nature will push us to understand they most simple principles if to many of us will still act like we are most importnant,and can do whatever we wants without paying attention how this affects others,everything affect everything universe is a kind of chain reaction ,we are kind of totalitary beings so far .

OK are you agree lies are everywhere around us?Everyone are lying with reson or without.So why someone in power suppoustu be diffrent?lies in big picture doesn't benefit no one,we wasting to much energy trying to find the certain truth.In our perceptions lies are good for ,benefits us,Idisagree .We create alot exuces for lies,for me first lie this was this Apple" in the Eden,how much easier would be for us to live if we would eliminate lies.For me biggest danger for us are not comets,reptailes,meteoryts,but we are the biggest danger for ourself.In not bad inside it's time to understand this,it's time change our perceptions about other human beings ,what realy we need to live fully we need each others not cars or furniture(that's secondary).Lies is something what split us in terrible was.Who is a winner on the end,no one really.truth is beautifull is an form of art,something what always benefit us ,lie is a very cheap crap.I tryied my best,I haven't used written English to often.

There are a lot of rogue asteroids out there. It is possible to have this happen and I have felt that this is what will happen. Forget about any predicted dates.
If one hit, the damage would depend a lot on size and where it would hit. Ocean, Land, equator or poles.
If you or I am at ground zero, might as well not worry. We wouldn't feel a thing or have time to even say OUCH!

SD.....thats what we should watch for and if there isn't much warning and the asteriod is 6 milles across.....ground zero will be about 200 miles in diameter.....best to just sit and watch....nothing else better to do...
