According to Jesse Marcel Snr the debtis field was approx 3 quaters of a mile long and several hundred feet wide and covered in foil like material given the size of the clean up operation is it not possible that someone could have pocketed a piece of the foil as a keep sake ( somehing to show the grandchildren ) and this unbeknown to someone could be in someones loft/attic along with their old military papers /photos etc what do you think ?

Anything is possible. It's possible that every sq inch of that property was in fact cleaned or it could be one of the military personel in charge of cleanup had pocketed something. It's so sad that no one actually has come forth with film or an actual piece. but even if they did, it will be debunked. So it's pointless.

A couple of years ago some person from the area was selling a piece of metal on Ebay claiming to be from the Roswell crash.
The piece looked unusual but if it was genuine you can bet it is in the hands of the government now. Postal interception and quick swap.

Yes and thats probably just what the seller will claim when the buyer finds out he bought a piece of steel or aluminium...wink.gif

Some people are not too bright and while I agree it is probably a bunch of BS, there is a remote possibility it could have been genuine.
It sold for over $600 dollars.
I emailed the winning bidder and warned them and told them what to look out for. I never got any reply.
