This only includes deaths actually taking place in Iraq. A fatally wounded soldier who dies on the medical transport plane out of Iraq is not, repeat not listed as killed in Iraq. The true US combat death figure is therefore far higher than the 4000 milestone reached recently.

There's also the issue of the official total of 90,000 civilian deaths so far, and the little matter of Afghanistan - a further 487 US combat deaths + unknown number of civilian deaths, also 23,000 US wounded (with countless hundreds of thousands of wounded Iraqis not meriting a mention anywhere). A further 300 or so deaths among other "coalition" troops need to be included. Civilian dead who don't make it to a morgue or hospital aren't included in the official figures.

hey rorechof i don't like Israel the nation i can't freaking stand it actually but not because a jewish nation its because the people in power there are just like the people in power in America.

the us death total is still higher if you count the American contractors and mercenaries who had died but i don't believe 90,000 comes close to the number of civilians killed more like 500,000.

It is a complete and utter waste of life and the entire bush administration should be tried for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and treason.

I've always wandered, people sign up for the army willingly right? So why do people get mad when they die? They chose to join knowing the risks of war and doing so to help out country. Then there family's get mad at the government because there relative died when there the ones that signed up for it in the first place.

They signed up to protect and serve the USA - and not to protect and serve Israel. Dying for the USA is one thing, dying for Wall Street and Tel Aviv another.

Delusions? Time will tell... but I'm in good company, and this is all open knowledge in Israel itself, and we've been through all this elsewhere on this forum anyway.

Saddam Hussein, the former "strong-man" of the Middle East, with the world's 4th largest Army of the time, and Israel's main enemy, is history. His sons, and supposedly he himself are dead, Iraq is in ruins, millions of Iraqis are refugees, tens of thousands of Muslims are dead, the Arab world has been humiliated (yet again), Sunni-Shia civil war has been deliberately provoked, the promised gas pipeline to Israel from Iraq is in the works and - most importantly - Israel has secured its monopoly on nuclear weapons in the Middle East.

So how on earth does that NOT benefit Israel? It's a large part of the Israel wish-list ticked and completed. Israel remaining the ONLY nuclear power in the Middle East is the biggest conceivable advantage for Israel, and the worst possible outcome for Arabs and Muslims.

In addition, it's not Israel which has lost 4000 soldiers doing this. It's not Israel which has to spend $ billions a day on 2 wars against Muslim countries, with Iran yet to come. This anti-Muslim pro-Israel warmongering has been achieved at the expense of the US/EU taxpayer and through the sacrifices of mainly US troops, while causing general hatred of the West among hundreds of millions of previously neutral Muslims.

And all this has happened even as the bankrupt US continues to give further billions in extra military and financial aid to Israel, which already possesses nuclear submarines, hundreds of nuclear weapons, and modern technology of every kind. There's even a US strategic fuel reserve for Israel, which takes priority over domestic reserves. People have got to start looking at Israel with a bit more objectivity. Maybe once the US economy is in complete ruins, the country is in a state of civil war and all the Wall St profiteers - and certain members of the Administration - have fled to Israel to escape justice (just like the Russian Yukos criminals have already done), views concerning Israel (and its role in the disaster that is happening to the USA right now) will change.
