I see psychology experts citing sleep paralysis as the foundation of abduction stories. Makes no sense to me. To the best of my knowledge I have never been a subject of alien abduction. However I have experianced sleep paralysis. Once when I was rudely awakened during a robbery home invasion.

Having experianced sleep paralysis I can tell you that, you can hear but you can't move or open your eyes. You sense full consciousness as a barrier that you struggle to cross and wake up. This does not induce hallicinations or cause abduction experiances.

Those who try to explain away abduction phenomina as sleep paralysis have obviously experianced neither one.

Instead I would suggest that sleep paralysis is used as a tool by alien abductors to control their subjects. Whatever swithing mechanism is in the brain that turns off volentary muscle movements during rem sleep, would be a tool for the abductors to use.

Sleep paralysis is incedental to the experiance and not the cause. It is just another example of a way that superior technology can be used to control the subject. By using the natural tool that the human body already possesses.

There are too many reports of alien abductions to explain them away as anything as other than what they appear to be. Abductions by more advanced races for research purposes.

I agree to a point.
Do you not think, that there is an unreasonable report of them?
I just find it hard to believe that there is going to be as many as is reported.
Wild imagination and sleep paralysis I believe does explain some of them.

Keep in mind there are many abduction-wanna-bes. They want it so bad that they delude themselves to believing they have had.

Probably true that. If even one is true then the phenomina is proven. The two most compelling stories are the original of Betty and Barny Hill. The other one is the Travis Walton story.

Other than that I consider that if even a third are true then that is significant.

I agree SOUL-DRIFTER, in my opinion either some of these people seek some type of fame or acknowledgement for having something unusual happen to them, in most cases it's just a fool who believes he/she can fool other's into believeing something paranormal has occurred when in fact they are only fooling themselves. I have heard of such things happening "Sleep Paralysis" but in my opinion there are many other factors to take into consideration that could cause such abnormalities to occur.
