There have been a number of bigfoot and big cat reports from this area as well, over the years.
Barron county is located about 250 miles, northwest of me.
I have family in that area. I will check if they have seen anything odd as well.

We live in Barron County and have witnessed many things over the years. What I see most often is a bright white light up in the sky by the stars that suddenly starts darting around the sky quite quickly and in a way that no airplane or helicopter could move. There have been many sightings over the years in this area. It's too bad that so many people are afraid to talk about what they see. If they weren't afraid you would see so much more in the papers because we all talk about it in person but no one wants to tell the press.

Do you still see them or are they being spotted less and less?

I still see them quite often. There is no way an airplane or helicopter could move like that, that far up in the sky. It's amazing how fast they can move and in such different directions. I did on on line search for Barron Cty. UFO's yesterday and there are quite a few sightings recorded. I've heard some stories from other people here, one woman said she and her family could see something at the end of her long driveway and as she walked toward it, it darted away.

Now the airport is saying that there is no record of any airplanes doing touch and go landings that night (last Monday night) and 3 police officers are saying they also saw it that night. The local paper did the story and then in the editors area wrote a note saying that it took a lot of courage for the family who saw what they did Monday night to come forward and tell people what they saw. I was thrilled to see that, maybe more people will come forward and tell what they saw.

There is so much open land here and we are only an hour and a half from Lake Superior and both of those things seem to have a draw for UFO's.

I keep a constant eye open down here in Waushara county..but nothing.
Makes me wish I had the time to make a trip up there, to check things out.

I have found that just sitting watching the stars and not even thinking about it is when suddenly it looks like a star just took off, at first you think shooting star but suddenly this star goes in a circle, or goes up and then down and then up again and you realize your not looking at a shooting star. Did you look up the other reports of sightings in Barron County? I googled it and there are quite a few.

There has been a big increase in the amount of air planes in the area since the sighting on the 14th, all black air planes flying low at times. Makes me wonder if it's just a coincidence or if they are looking for something. It's a small town so having a lot of air planes is very unusual for us.

How about some good photos of the activity. Identify the aircraft and document the UFO's. That would be cool.

Well I'm not quite sure what to say... A friend of mine had said that the information from the paper had made it to many various websites. So now I am going and CORRECTING much of the info. I am Kristina, the one from the Barron paper and Chetek paper. Firstly I would like to say it was very upsetting to have the articles posted because they were so wrongly quoted. The information that was given was twisted quite brutally. We never came forward to just tell the story, in fact I wanted nothing more than to just let it be because it was that scary. My father was the person who originally contacted the paper to see if anyone had reported anything. When they had said no he had explained what happened. I'm not quite sure how I came to be the one to say all of these things considering I wasn't even there for over half of the event but I can tell you exactly what happened to me and our family.

Starting off I have no idea what in the world it was we saw. My mother has a knack for exaggeration, many of the things I supposedly said were things she had said. It was not a tear drop shape it was more triangular. It was quiet, low, fast and agile. Something that really irritates me the most is I had seen it exactly a week before on SS running from Cameron to Rice Lake. I was in a hurry to get to work, by myself, and it came from the right hand side of the road in front of me. It moved slow and had one light on it. It had appeared from behind some trees and flew over SS towards airport road. It had startled me because it was so low, it was literally 25 feet above my car. It was right before I got to the top of the hill, as I drove towards it, it kind of flew above me for no more than a few seconds before it flew off. I sped up as I drove down the hill trying to see what it was. It was really quiet and slow almost gliding. It was unsettling but I didn't have time to stop because I was going to be late for work. I had seen it around 9:55pm. I told my mother about it and she just shrugged it off, because of that I wouldn't drive SS by myself the rest of the week. Honestly I felt kind of crazy, I have seen a number of things in the sky. White lights you think are stars that start swirling and such but this was just to strange to close for comfort.

The incident the papers reported was a week later, I was still scared to drive by myself so I asked my mother to drive me to work that night. Again we were running late, I had my brother and sister with me as well and they took forever getting ready to go. I hate the highway because it takes 3 minutes longer than SS but my mom prefers to drive it, much to my annoyance so she took the highway that night. We had gotten about 1/3 of the way to rice lake when I had noticed a oddly yellow light in the sky. It was about as high as as many of the radio towers around and unmoving, I pointed it out to my mother because I thought it was strange. It was quite a few miles away down the highway and as we got closer it turned from yellow to white. We had watched it all wondering out loud as to what it was, when we got about 2 miles away from the airport it had gotten lower. Then it disappeared, suddenly from nowhere it swooped over our car heading towards the airport. It was fast and low, then it turned around and headed back over our car where it hovered above us for a good mile or two. It was terrifying because you couldn't hear it, see it, anything.. you would try to look up but it was right above us and I was to scared to open the window and look up. Then it slowly started heading back towards the airport. It swerved around and got really low but never landed. It was like it was scoping out the lights or something. I was freaking out when I thought it was landing because I knew it was not an airplane. I have no idea what it was but I am certain of that. My mom dropped me off at work and I told her to take SS back and avoid the highway but she didn't listen. Now as I said I wasn't there for what they saw. I was at work all night and I would hear random people talk about it as they walked by. I knew more than just one person had seen it. I had mentioned it to my friends and they were kind of skeptical. As for the part in the papers saying I talked to an officer. That is not true I never did, supposedly a co-worker talked to a dispatcher whom said they had gotten numerous calls and seen the object. I never personally talked with an officer. My father on the other hand did. He is a currier and he stopped to talk to a rusk county officer whom told him he was on the look out for it because he had received many calls. My father was ecstatic and bummed at the same time because he wanted to see it too. He came to visit me around 3am to tell me what had happened to my mom and siblings. My mother had taken the highway back, Honestly I think she was stupid, but she thought it would have been gone by then. Now keep in mind, I WAS NOT HERE FOR THIS AND MY MOTHER LIKES TO EXAGGERATE THINGS, I'm not sure I believe all of it but then again it was a crazy night.

According to her she was driving past the airport, there was a car next to her and a semi truck in front of the car, when they noticed the "ufo" was still at the airport. Now I got a few different story's from this, my brother said he saw a laser coming from the "ufo" down to the runway. My sister said she didn't see a laser but she wasn't really looking. My mother said she could hear a strange grinding noise whenever the laser was on the ground. Then she said as their little group of cars was driving by the "ufo" flew towards them and went over all the cars. She said the semi trucker was sticking his head out of the window looking at it and the people in the car were freaking out. Also she said that there were a few cars on the side of the road, whom she thought were checking out the "ufo". She sped up ahead of their group and said it went out over rice lake. She kept looking back as it flew over rice lake a few times very quickly then within a matter of moments came up behind their car. My brother said he was freaking out telling my mother to go faster but the object was to fast. My mother said it flew above their car for a few miles then vanished. She also said it was much lower this time only ten feet or so above the car. They called the paper that morning to see if anyone had made any reports.

So many had seen it but no one had said anything. It was exactly what I had seen a week before and I kept telling my mom I told her so. Another thing, one paper says that the airport had no recored of any flights going out or coming in that night, but in another it states that an aircraft was doing touch and go landings. Now this is another annoyance, the one report made our family sound more crazy then anything and I must admit I was sick of the whole situation so I never kept tabs on any after reports, but there was too much of a misinformation too much of the words were twisted. A story is a straight story, we cant help what we saw. Why would we put ourselves on the line if it wasn't true. For another thing, if it had been an airplane there is no way it would of flown that low to traffic. It is dangerous and reckless but as I said we would have heard it, especially that close. I am not sure what it was my family encountered but that is the truth of it. Think what you will.
