This is a real test that was made by a psychiatrist to see who is actually insane and who has a normal state of mind, 50 people where tested for this. how would you solve this?
Each person is induvidually led into a room with a bath filled with water. the only other items in the room are a cup and a spoon. The examiner asked 1 question. "Empty that bath as fast as you can." all 50 people completed the task and 40 passed the test. The remaining 10 where classed as mental. So the question to you is "how would you do it?" After a few answers are posted I will explain why the 10 in question are insane. |

macdaddy was correct. The mistake people make is assuming because the cup and spoon are in the room, they are actually needed to empty the bath. But the instruction was only "empty the bath as quickly as possible" so anyone using the cup or spoon would be deemed insane as this is not the way to do it

Hmmm, why wouldn't oskar be correct also?

i think the test was done with a built in bath so it wouldn't have been possible. Even so if someone you know tips the bath over to empty it, i would say they are mental, and possibley dangerous

Thats eazy i would get my Imaginary friend Snuffleupagus the Mammoth to drink it all, he always has a trust for blood but im sure he would drink that water if i asked him to. !!!!
