We have a thread about this here.
http://www.alien-ufos.com/Testing-t20987.html

A few of us appear to be having trouble posting in some, but not all threads. When we press post new topic, we get a white screen? Is it a messed up flood control?

I have found the white screen appears when quoting sometimes. In particular if you try to cut and paste any text from an outside source. The other day I tried to include the words from that hip hop song, I got white screen after white screen. In the end, the only way I could reply was to remove the text from the lyrics site. I had even removed formatting and saved it as a text file then cut and paste. 22 and I had a similar problem with quoting in PM's as well which I posted in a thread but got no real response to fix it. I also have problems with view new posts, Often it returns errors there. I like the layout of this board better than the old one but hell its full of unresolved bugs.

I know I had some cut and paste in a couple of my white-screen posts, but I don't know if it was in all of them. I keep an eye out and see if that's the problem. I'll keep you posted.

It would appear to relate to using copied and pasted text.

Yes, and occasionally when you reply and include an original message as quoted too?

Yes. I get it repeatedly in one particular thread, which I am unable to post a response to.

I tried to type out my response again in the same thread without any quotations or copied text and I still got the same problem. It would appear that neither of those is necessarily a pre-requisite to having it happen. It can also happen when editing posts. I tried to circumvent the problem by typing a one-word post and then editing in what a I wanted to write, but that didn't work either. Where on earth have the admins disappeared to?

Yes I got around it to a point that way in the hip hop thread. I made a one word post then cut and pasted from another session my message into it, saving and editing as I went one block of text at a time. It worked fine until I tried to include the words from the song which I got externally.

I have been trying since yesterday. I have a post copied to Notepad that I have been trying to post. I even removed a quote and typed it out again in the window so that there was nothing copied, but it doesn't make any difference. A short post that says nothing useful will get posted, however.

I'm not going to use this forum any more until this problem has been fixed. There is simply no point in writing a post longer than two lines with no reasonable assurance that it will get posted.
