Ever watched a cat kill a bird, then leave it. We are not the only species that does this, it just sounds better smile.gif

There are many examples of animals killing for sport. Dogs chase anything that runs weather they are hungry or not. We are he first to create laws making it illeagal.

There is also the thing called instinct.
Animals are driven mostly by this.
All creatures including man has instincts but man has a lot less.

...thus some are more of an animal than others... laugh2.gif

We have a real problem here in some parts of OZ. Some country areas have packs of domestic and ferral dogs, they hunt in packs and might kill 7 sheep just for sport, the greenies jump up and down when the farmers shoot dogs on their property, but if the greenies saw a sheep with half its neck torn open and part of its leg missing, or a lamb torn to bits. they would think different. Many times these are just your family dog that you leave to sleep on your porch at night, it leaves for the pack overnight and is asleep on the porch again when you wake up in the morning. many people would have no idea that there dog does this, but the farmers do.

Because we have broken many basic instincts. However, having said that, animals other than humans do kill for fun. Cats even play with their prey's life before killing it. And they don't always eat it afterwards. They can throw it out, or give it as a present to their master. Or friend.

Dolphins are the biggest murderers ever. They kill a lot for fun. Killer whales, which are in the dolphin family, are a great example of a creature that kills just for fun. They like playing catch with their prey even if they do or do not eat it. Dolphins have a habit of singling out sharks and just teasing it while they ram it in the gills. Fun fun.
