Here is some photos and updated information on that big squid they caught.
What I do not understand is why call this one giant? It's a baby compared to the real giants that lurk in the deep, dark depths.

Any thoughts?

How big tcan they become? I read that this was the largest the had found well preserved. Know how big they can be?

I saw a program on them and the best estimate was about 100 feet in length.
Sperm whales prey on giant squid and there have been Sperm whales with sucker scars in excess of 1 foot in diameter seen on them. I was told that a squid with suckers of that size would far exceed 100 foot.

Giant and colossal are two different species. Female colossal gets bigger than all of them. Males a little smaller. Don't have to study the biggest to get understanding of adult biology.

I thought this was pretty spectacular.
