Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. Paranormal seemed to fit this best.

There's a term for this, although I can't recall it right now. Every day when I look at the clock, I ALWAYS see the following times:

6:26
7:27
9:11
11:11

And lately I've been starting to see 10:22. I know there's the theory that you always see numbers that are significant to you. 9:11 = 9/11, and 10:22 = 10/22 (my birthday). but 6:26, 7:27, and 11:11, I have no idea why. The numbers I see the most are the first three I listed.

To further clarify myself, what I'm trying to say is that each day when I look at the clock, I ALWAYS look at it at those times. I see other times too of course, but those are the times I see every day. Is there some kind of meaning to these numbers? Also, is there a site that explains this stuff better? I tried using Google, but Google always gives mostly irrelevant stuff. the closest thing I got to an answer was a link to a topic on AboveTopSecret, but still my questions weren't answered. What is the meaning of those numbers (granted there's an overall way of doing it, and they're not just personal), and what is the name of this "phenomenon"?

The numbers have great significance to you. It is the same reason eyewitness accounts always differ. Reality is what the beholder pays attention to.

These numbers are the ones you pay attention to when you look at something displaying numbers. Their signifcance is only to you. It is a normal aspect of visual bias. When I am considering buying a Hoda Accord then I notice Honda Accords on the highway. Before that they were just another sedan on the road.

Numbers are nothing. They mean nothing but what you read into them.

The term you are looking for, I believe is Numerology.

this happened to me awhile ago. It lasted for months. I was kind of weirded out. It seemed that everytime I looked at the clock it would be some assortment of the number 1. I tried to do research but I didn't really get much. Fortunately I don't see that anymore.

From a personal point of view...
Numerology and its occurrences started when I began searching for a bigger question to a smaller answer. I was looking for an easy sign to a difficult path. Things didn't pan out that way? Instead. I drove my self to the brink of an inconclusive insanity that yearned for an answer. This perception of mine took a life of its own...tho it was still mine to observe at any given time. The numerology I experienced evolved into a crypto-numerlogy state of mind.

Looking back at the memories of old show little insight into the new life I'm living...yea it was a mind scratching experience and yea it was a trip in the synchronicity chaos of what we call numbers, letters and thoughts.

My one advice to any and all who spend any amount of perceptual energy associated with any such synchronicity or any of the above mentioned is simple.

Know thy self before delving 'into the sea' for you may think one way but shown another way. Its like knowing algebra before taking basic math its there but limited in answers and understanding.
