Saw this in the news. Apparently the Vatican has stated that alien life is also part of God's creation ... oh, how little they know! The horror! The horror! |

i can only speak for my religion,in Koran there are some verses that indirectly talk about life on other planets
many islamic imams and saints believed in aliens, and this was thousand years ago when no one even spoke about that. so i dont see whats weird?? |

My earlier comments were just me being weird as usual. I didn't know the Koran talked about life on other planets. That's very interesting. Nice thinking, Mella. |

The stance of the Vatican has always been "If there are beings from other worlds they are also God's creatures." They even want to "introduce them to Jesus". I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I won't judge.

I can see some alien visitors getting angry with that and maybe konk them over the head with their bible, they so miss interpret. -------------------- QUEST FOR THE REAL TRUTH |

The early catholic church, as in Holy Roman, was run more like a government than a church. Like many religions it has evolved with with the changes in society and science.
I dont see this statenent to be any different than the changes in the church historicly. With our more recent understanding of the universe it is almost certain that other races and lifeforms exist within this huge universe. To not address this new understanding of the cosmos would be a failure to evolve with society and science. I don't think anything more can be read into that at this time. |
