Okay... I have recently begun to freak people out...
I was in Architectural Graphics, one of the classes I actually talk in, when the teacher, Mr. Ward began to tell another student "I want to see you work on the electrical plan, not a pink smiley face." I tend to think about things once people say them, and in a flash, I suddenly was thinking about the smiley face. I laughed to myself, and said" A smiley face with spirals in the background." The one student, who is a sophmore, looked at me and said, "How did you know?" My ADD, for some odd reason, has done this to me almost every day for almost as long as I can remeber, but it has begun to freak people out. My response, " My ADD... Just a random thing". Its probably entirely normal. I have no chance of seeing her screen, since my screen is invisible to her, and hers is to mine, but we can look at each other face to face. This is the first time I had heard of this. As I have said, this is a single instance. It has happened to me alot. Im pretty sure its just ADD, since its like an image that appears for like 0.1-5 seconds, then moves on. I have noticed, also, that I am starting to see coloured outlines of people, and living organisms. I think its migraines or synthaesia... But what do you guys think? -------------------- -CM2

Seriously, I think it's a possibility. However, as someone with a few eccentricities I can say there might be another possibility. People with ADD sometimes pick up things other people miss, even when they're not consciously aware of it. For example: if she wears glasses, could you have subconsciously registered the reflection from her glasses? Could it be you subconsciously registered a reflection in her eyes? Considering that you can look at each other face to face, is it a possibility? As for auras, again, it's a psychic phenomenon. Not out of the question. It could, however, be, as you say, a difference in your perception. You're ADD. Could you have another 'eccentricity' as well? Are your eyes sensitive to light? It could be an artifact of hypersensitivity: visual overstimulation finding expression as the data is processed as auras. Not necessarily psychic, but in that direction. It might not be extra-sensory perception but hyper-sensory perception. |

It may be the Medications. Do you take Ritalin or other ADD medications?
I had the auras happen a few times. Very strange it looks like an after image around living things. It only happened a few times, the strange part is I would expect it to be around anything I looked at. But just around things that were alive. ie. Fish in my tank, wifes face but not the computers pictures etc. It looked to be a drug side effect or maybe enhancement. Seeing pictures in my head also happened. Things that had not yet occured. Very strange, could see random events (Just images) up to 3 months before they happened. Could not control it and now its gone. I have mild ADD. So maybe there is something to do with it. I was taking ritalin so that may have something to do with it also. Okay... I have recently begun to freak people out... I meet the Diagnostic material, and have a "diagnosis" from my doc, but I have a rather mild case. I utilize counseling, not medications, even though they are being sold in such excess nowadays. I just have difficulty staying on task, but am not loud, or disruptive. I have the inattentive form.
and Kirin, It would be nearly impossible to see her screen from my vantage point unless there was a mirror... No... She does not wear glasses. But I would like to hope that it is something completely normal... A coincidence -------------------- -CM2
