I heard many years ago that they were working on this.

QUOTE
The suit can multiply its wearer's strength and endurance as many as 20 times, with relatively little loss of agility, by sensing and almost instantly amplifying every movement the wearer makes.

They were. But they didn't really get anywhere, did they? This is another effort that I predict will be many decades and many millions of dollars in the making before they make any real progress, or the project will be cancelled.

i think the human element in war will become less and less as technology progresses.soon a soldier going to war will be like us switching on a xbox to do battle. The Rise of the Machines.

EM pulse weapons, would make all that useless though.
The next step would be, to make the electronics and fluids impervious to EM pulses.

I think military electronics are already resistant to EMP, are they not?

Yes, but that resistance is limited to the strength of pulse and frequency.
Faraday cages is one protection, but are also limited.

My problem with tasers, and everyone who has worked with electricity can tell you this, getting shocked, no matter the current, is never a good idea. You may not feel the effects right after the shock, but given time the toll of being hit even once can cause heart stoppage years later. There's too many people dieing from this bit of technology. I understand the want and the need to have nonlethal ways of apprehending folks, but zapping little old ladies or people just speeding is way over the top. I feel if you are going to use a taser, it should be in replace of the side arm. Thus should only be used in life and death situations, not a cattle prod.

this is it,they have limted use ,depending on situation.i feel they will be phased out when new ways of incapacitating people will be developed.maybe using laser or sound.
