Alien mining?...Nah!
100 EXPLOSIONS ON THE MOON: NASA astronomers have been watching the Moon to see how often meteoroids crash into the lunar surface and they've just video-recorded their 100th explosion. This bountiful data-set allows researchers to start drawing conclusions about when, where, and how hard the Moon gets hit. that sort of rules out alien bases on the moon and i think i'll holiday on mars instead next year.

There could be a hatch that lifts up a slice of terrain hundreds or thousands of feet thick under which the base lies and which is impervious to any impacts. |
